I researched a lot of carbon bolts before I settled on these. I felt it was the best bang for the buck, so to speak. I was going to Buffalo County, Wisconsin for trophy whitetails, and I wanted to upgrade my lower cost bolts. I shot a respectable 9 point, and two does with the same bolt, and it is still straight as an arrow and in excellent condition. The durability, accuracy, and speed of these bolts are very similar to higher costing bolts.

The maxima hunter bolts are very accurate had only one flyer out of a dozen the 40 grains heavier did not make a great difference in fps but made a great difference in penetration, accuracy and quietness of sub 1 xr.

They seem to be good arrows but soon as I took the old nock out and tried to put a glo nock in the arrow split. Going to see if I can get it to work. Maybe a practice arrow.

I harvested 3 deer during bow season with these bolts last year. I used 100g Schwacker and all three were shot behind front shoulder and made it less than 20 yards from shot. Shots were at 27, 42 and 47 yards respectively and every shot hit exactly where I placed them. The crossbow is a cheap Barnett Veloci Raptor ($450). These arrows help the cross bow perform above it's pay grade! The 6 pack for $56 was a great deal!

These are great bolts. At fifty yards, I am hitting a 3” diameter circle each time. Not bad considering my crossbow is an entry level crossbow.But sadly, 2 of the bolts are no good. They fly very crooked. Over 8” off target at 50 yards.I would like to return these 2 crooked bolts to be replaced if it was possible.

Was surprised the vanes were longer than the originals, was going to send them back but called Carbon Express directly with my concern. They assured me the larger vanes are new and improved and more accurate. The original smaller vanes are extremely accurate, so if Carbon Express says it’s new arrows are improved, I will buy that, kept them and will hope for the best.
