With the poor quality fuels we have here in California, every season is tough starting small engine equipment. The gas turns to a gummy like substance and fouls fuel flow requiring a clean out of the carburetor.Over the years I have found that replacing is the beast and easiest way to approach this issue. These replacement carbs are so inexpensive that a kit and the work to clean the old unit just do not make sense. So, I just order a new one and I am ready for work. These are a perfect match for the original in every way. Installation is a breeze and I have found that they are set up close to perfect. Just install and you most likely will not even need to adjust anything.Performance is also perfect. After sitting for 8 months a few drops of gas in the throat of the carb, a few pumps to prime and off she goes.Includes the carb, spark plug, gasket, fuel lines, filter and a spare pump bulb for priming. All in all this is the easiest and most cost effective way to approach this problem.

I have an older 4 cycle Craftsman trimmer that has sat around for a while now and finally decided to see if I could get it going. I found this carburetor kit that was just what I needed to get it running again. The carburetor fit perfectly and I replaced the fuel and return lines and the fuel filter as well. The only thing that didn't fit was the spark plug. Mine has smaller threads but I cleaned up my old one for now and it fired right up. The only thing they did not include is the air filter. I was able to clean my up, but will replace it as soon as I can. All in all a good value for the money. Beats having to spending over $100 for a new trimmer. I give it 4 1/2 stars.
