Use your hands. Get a good pair of rubber gloves and grease the bearings the old fashioned way. Product does what it says it's just less messy to grease em by hand.

I purchased this to pack the new bearings for my utility trailer. I have hand-packed bearing in the past and I hate it. It takes me forever to fill them and I get grease EVERYWHERE including my clothes. With this device, the bearing were full in about 30 seconds and all the grease which came out from the bearing was on the cone. I rubbed that excess onto the outside of the bearings. For anyone thinking this device is to keep your hands grease free you need to hire someone to pack and install your bearing. You still have to handle the bearing when they are full, but if you are looking to shorten your job this is the tool for you.

Get yourself a grease gun and these will save you time when packing tapered bearings. You can pack bearings old school or pack it with this. I prefer this.

If you own an RV and like staying on top of greasing your bearings, this is the way to go. I wish I would of bought one years ago.

Love this thing. Keeps you from getting grease all over the place. But it seems you use a lot more grease getting into the bearings.

Poor quality - threads mismatched mid-way on the shaft to the point where it won't screw down to Make a seal. Wanted to use it on a weekend car project, and shipping it back to Amazon for a replacement would have wasted more time. Ended up picking one up (same brand) at local auto parts store where I was able to confirm it worked before paying for it. Just goes to show sometimes nothing can substitute for a brick and mortar store.

Piece of junk - but then what should I have expected for $6.00. The grease hole towards the bottom of the aluminum center screw get covered up when you screw the aluminum center screw into the base plate/cone - like Duh ! Yes you can adjust for this but WTF ! And to make matters worse, the top cone aluminum reds bind up when you thread the top cone onto the aluminum center screw. And yes you can make it work but once again WTF !If you are planning on using this POS "tool" more than once you will in all likelihood be very disappointed. At the end of the day, for $6.00 you pretty much get what you pay for.
