Once I had the part in the transmission and started to push it into place, the hole started blowing air down my arm. The hole was right on the seam where the rubber boot was joined together.

Got the brand new Cardone CV axle and everything looked fine but when I was checking functionality of the CV joints the outer one was super stiff and you could here the friction while rotating it. Didn’t even sound like there was grease in there. Thanks for wasting my time.
