I ordered this music carousel for my niece’s birthday. She love the melody “Sky Castle”. This carousel is vey elegant looking. The detail of the horses and flowers are beautiful. It look delicate, which makes it look more precious. When you wind it up and put it down, the entire carousel rotate on the metal disc that you wind up. So as it unwind, the carousel does move across a flat plane a little. Must be careful not to be in a slop or the carousel may fall of and break. The sound of the music is beautiful!

Pros: packaged perfectly so it came intact! It's just as beautiful as the pictures! It lights up and is just so visually pleasing. Perfect for my girly 5yo.Cons: Even with winding to its max extent, the song plays for about 60sec. Total. I thought as a child, the one I had that was similar would play for much much longer. Perhaps my memory is faulty. The one I had was a statue of a clown and also would randomly do a 1/12 turn w music in the middle of the night, too...so..maybe mine was unique. This was still a minor let down though.Also, the lights drain the battery very quickly.One more pro: they at least sent multiple extra batteries!

Maybe I just didn't read close enough but I thought it would spin as well and it totally is beautiful but the magic just isn't there because it plays music and lights up but it doesn't spin at all. It's a little expensive for what it is which is basically a musical night light. Thinking about returning because it's just not what I thought it was but it is pretty.
