This pump did not work. Since I was in a pinch, I was able to take the bowl gasket and diaphram and "renew" not rebuild my old pump, which worked. The new pump simply does not have enough stroke to work on this application.....although it looks almost idetical to the one I was replacing.

I bought this fuel pump for my β€˜51 Studebaker because Carter is an OEM brand for my car. After a couple of hours removing and installing the fuel pump(s) several times in several combinations, I gave up and installed the fuel pump diaphragm from the new pump into my old pump, finally getting it to work. Next time if it’s from China, I will rebuild my own.

I bought this fuel pump and was never able to get it to pump fuel. Coarse meshed stainless steel "filter screen" along with a high durometer gasket would cause air leaks. I also question whether the pump check valves even work properly but no way to test without disassembling & having a special test stand.
