I replaced this as part of a diagnostic process. It continued to die after replacement so I figured the fuel pump was not the issue. Turns out that this fuel pump was just as faulty as the 40 year old eom part. Manufacturing quality was trash. I spent 1200 bucks replacing other parts until I put the Delphi version in and it solved the problem. Add Carter to the list of parts mfgs that have outsourced to the point of uselessness. Buy the Delphi.

Compre el pasado mayo esta bomba de combustible mecanica para mi Ford -150 1986 motor 4.9L, con carburador carter YF, pues crei en su calidad de añps atras, pues en los años 1980 esa era la mejor marca puramente norteamericana que se conseguia aqui el Suramerica. Pero eso parace que ahora no es asi, pues esta segun dice el empaque es fabricada en china, la coloque a finales de febrero 2023 y recorrio solo 950 Km. La falla la palanca que acciona el diafragma se separo del conjunto y dejo de producir presion de gasolina, dejandome tirado en el camino. al final tendre que recurrir a los repuesto de mala calidad que se consiguen en esta parte del mundo
