The pump rod was off center. The rod length and tip diameter did not fit late model corvair. Started leaking. Overall rating is 1 out of 5.

I installed this pump following instructions and the manual. With less than 100 miles the seal in the pump tore. This caused fuel ti spray out the hole on the top of the pump and on to the ignition coil.I had to use parts from the old pump to make one good pump.See photo for the hole in the seal. The seals seam to be made of cheep rubber with no reinforcement.NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE SELLER…. BAD QUALITY PART

neither amazon nor the mfg of this fuel pump will let me return it. it will damage your 1962 and later engine if you install it. a 1 star rating is required to submit this. it is misrepresented on amazon.

Dispute the advertisement, this pump doesn’t work on 62 thur 69 motors. The pump shaft is too long and the diameter to large. 60-61 motors used a slightly different pump. This pump will work on those motors.

Pump rubbers cracked & failed filling my crankcase with gas. Hopefully didn't wipe my bearings.Going with the Airtex this time instead of another Carter. Probably made in the same factory in the PRC anyways.Purchased May 2022, failed October 2022.

I got about 1,200 miles out of this fuel pump before it pumped fuel into the crank case over filling the oil and leaving us stranded on the way to Helen 2022. If I could give a negative review I would.
