Not bad for a inexpensive player. Has some speed issues, especially when you move it around. But otherwise, yay! Its cool to look at with its clear case and all that

This cassette player and MP3 converter is a fantastic find for anyone wanting to revive their old tapes! The clear stereo sound and auto-reverse feature make for a smooth listening experience, and the MP3 conversion works seamlessly, allowing me to digitize my favorite tapes with ease. The cool copper wheel movement adds a vintage charm, and the included earphones are a nice touch—overall, a well-made, easy-to-use device that exceeded my expectations. I give it 5 stars :)

You really can't beat an old walkman. This thing works, but the audio quality has no soul to it. Invest in an old walkman, do your ears that favor.

UPDATE: Seller reached out to remedy my issues, anytime a seller takes the time to address a customers problems even on low dollar items shows me that the seller wants my business. Moved my rating from 3 to 4 stars. KUDOS to BotaoThis works well with the recommended "Audacity" software however the audio reproduction is pretty low and has to be amplified through the software to really be usable. The player functions just as any inexpensive portable cassette player would with the exception of an USB-C to USB-A link to the computer which is how the software records what is playing. Overall this works okay and as intended but learning the software can be a bit challenging for some.

The Botao Cassette Player is a pretty nice unit that comes with everything you need to get started converting your old cassette tapes into an MP3 format, but it can also convert to other audio file formats as well by using the included rendering software, Audacity, which is provided on mini CD with the Botao Cassette Player.I find the Botao Cassette Player to be extremely easy to use since I am already familiar with Audacity, and I think for the less experienced user(s), the Botao Cassette Player is a great way to get into rendering your cassette tapes into a digital format at a very affordable price!I also like the see through nature of the cassette mechanism top cover where the wheels are turning and the tape is feeding through. The battery compartment in my opinion is a little wonky but acceptable for the price. The included earbud headphones are good too. I should note that there is not a speaker on the unit so you need to listen through the earbuds or your own favorite headphones. A real plus is that the Botao Cassette Player also comes with a soft and sturdy cloth like storage bag. Definite plus! The Botao Cassette Player likely isn't going to have the same bells and whistles as some of the more expensive units, or all-in-one units that don't require software, but there are some smart advantages to a cassette player like the Botao Cassette Player. In my opinion there are a number of factors to consider in getting a good clean MP3/Audio File and it starts with the actual cassette tape, and the tape head of the Botao Cassette Player. From my experience, tape heads should be very clean and well aligned for tracking. When the tape head is reading the signal from the cassette tape, if that tape has been played many, many times, the tape head can only read what is there on the tape and still readable by the tape head. And that's where the Audacity software becomes essential to the Botao Cassette Player and how it really sounds.Much of the included, well written instruction manual for the Botao Cassette Player details getting the music signal to your computer, and how to render it to an MP3 file. Audacity then lets you adjust many parameters such as highs, lows, mids, and even some audio effects such as echo and reverb. You get to choose how you want your music to sound! Some cassette to MP3 convertors do all that for you, and you are left with the results of what the unit thinks it should sound like. For my review, I chose a cassette tape from 1974, and despite some subdued tones from the worn cassette tape, I was able to bring the muddy sound back to life and enjoy the album again in digital format, sounding as good if not even cleaner that the same version on some music channels. I was totally impressed with the overall function and results of the Botao Cassette Player. The price point of the Botao Cassette Player is extremely fair, and for anyone just getting started, or wanting to, this is a product I would very much recommend. Five Stars.

We have a kiddo that loves cassettes and this was the perfect option. He loves it and really liked the clear case where he could see all the insides. No issues.

I'm a retired DJ, and the tape collections of jam sessions and gigs were just sitting in boxes. How good it is to hear these sessions again and even be able to put on my laptop. Priceless. Very Happy.
