I saved over $50 purchasing this from Amazon. My 96 Bronco takes 16 quarts of transmission fluid for a complete fluid flush and fill including the torque converter. This fluid isn’t available at auto parts stores in the one gallon size jugs so you have to buy it by the quart at $10.99 each. So happy I thought to look on Amazon!

My 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis' Restoration called for a Transmission Filter Service.I removed and thoroughly cleaned the Transmission Pan and Magnet, installed a B&M Drain Plug Kit, installed a new MotorCraft FT-100 Transmission Filter (there's NO Pan Gasket included with the filter, so the ORIGINAL gasket must be re-used), installed the Trans Pan with Original Gasket, and lowered the car. After filling the Transmission with FIVE (5) quarts of CASTROL TransMax Mercon V, Start the engine and drive the car until it warms up completely (about 10 miles). Check the Trans Fluid Dipstick with vehicle on level ground, engine idling, and the shift lever in "Park". Top off CAREFULLY -- if necessary, add fluid FOUR (4) ounces at a time and check dipstick again. BE CAREFUL -- DO NOT OVER-FILL !! It's better to have the fluid slightly BELOW the Upper Mark than to have it ABOVE the Upper Mark. Fluid aeration (foaming) can occur from over-filling, and foaming can and will destroy your transmission !!Note: CASTROL TransMax MERCON V is certified for use in all Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicle transmissions that require MERCON or MERCON V. The thing to remember is that MERCON V is good for BOTH requirements because it's backward-compatible with the older MERCON fluid. With transmission servicing completed, shifting was very smooth and positive. It SEEMS like there's less slippage. The Motorcraft (Made in USA)FT-100 Filter, B&M Drain Plug Kit, and TransMax Fluid were purchased here at Amazon. My order arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Thanks, Amazon !!UPDATE: July 10, '13 -- Trans-desert trip from Phoenix, AZ to Dana Point, CA and return -- demonstrated smooth, quiet transmission operation, with no lag, sluggishness, or hesitation when the transmission is shifting either up or down. Transmission temperatures remained cool (170-180 F.) on long, uphill grades and high outside air temperatures (100-110 F.)UPDATE #2: January 24, '14 -- Several trips through and around the deserts and mountains of the Southwestern USA, combined with local town & country driving, have proven the Castrol Transmax MERCON V transmission fluid can stand up to whatever demands are placed on it -- cool running, smooth operation, and with no lag, slippage, or hesitation, regardless of load or outside temperature.
