Nicely rounded tips on the staggered stainless steel teeth was accepted by the kitty cat and work great to comb the mats right out of his neck.NEUTRAL: Comb seems cheaply made and it's a bit hard to press the release button all the way down.

This pet comb is self cleaning when you press the button at the back of the comb head. I think the quality is good. The reason why I took off one star is that I found it a bit uncomfortable to reach that button and my hands are average to large in size. Please see my photos.

I ordered the KoovDem Cat Comb Dog Comb Pet Hair Removal Tool for my grand pup. She neither enjoyed nor disliked my combing her with this tool … albeit I was giving her liver treats while I was combing her hair, and she was distracted by her favorite treat.My grand pup is a rescue dog whose hair is most like that of a border collie. The comb moved easily through her fur and picked up a surprisingly large amount of loose hair. It was easy to remove from the comb by pressing the large button on top of the comb.I would have preferred that the KoovDem folks and their manufacturer would have added tiny round bulbs on the end of each tine/tooth of the comb. This is a five-star product however I will have to give it four stars due to its high price point. There are other remarkedly similar combs at a lower price point. There were no fleas active during the time I wrote this review (thank God), so I was not able to see how it worked on fleas or ticks.

Works, but the spring in the release lever is very strong. In fact, when I unpacked the comb, the spring launched the button off of the stem. It was simple to replace, and in use it doesn't feel strong/unbalanced, but it did launch itself off the comb. The comb itself seems to work reasonably well, but for our cat, it's a little strong/long in the tooth so to speak. That is to say the bristles are so long that for our medium-haired cat, it takes quite a bit to actually need to release the hair. It's simple to do so once you've accumulated enough, though.

It does remove dandruff and loose fur, but sometimes it doesn’t glide very smoothly. The size is a bit small, but other than that, no issues.

The ergonomic handle is very comfortable to hold and doesn't slip, even when my cat gets a bit squirmy. It makes grooming sessions much easier and less stressful for both of us.
