Just got this, but back of the box says it contains dog pheromones. Also instructions not clear. Will check back later. I thought I was buying Feliway, but this is a knock off.

For the record I have three cats: 1 male and 2 female. All three are fixed. Snarf, the eldest of the three and the only male cat is 16 years old and has been a scaredy cat his whole life. We adopted him when he was about 8 months old.JoJo is the 2nd eldest of the three, about 10 years old. My nephew adopted her about 5 years ago and they have been living with us for 13 months.Moriko is the youngest at about 8 years old and has been with us since she was 5.Before JoJo moved in with us, it had taken almost 2 years for Snarf to get comfortable enough around Moriko to come out of my room for more than 10 minutes at a time. JoJo and Moriko still squabble periodically.I have this in the hallway near my bedroom and near the community water fountain that all three use. Snarf comes out once in a while for a few minutes but as soon as he sees JoJo, he runs back to my room.I had picked this up hoping that it would help calm him enough to come out of the bedroom and socialize some with the other two cats. i'd also hoped that it would help ease some tensions between JoJo and Moriko but this has not helped any of the three. It's possible my expectations were too high but I'm on the 2nd bottle and I can't say that I have seen any improvement with them.

As you can see from the photo, the top of the box is labeled for cats, but the back of the box indicates it’s a product for dogs. This is a major problem for me and I would suspect most buyers. I can’t believe Amazon would even sell a product like this.

I have a cat who has conflict issues with another animal in the house and so does seem anxious a lot. I plugged this in right next to her main sleeping spot. From anecdotal observation, she does seem a little more comfortable - but I am not around her enough to truly say how much this is helping, and not being a cat, can't test the strength of the pheromones involved! I am sure it is not hurting, so I am making the decision to keep this as part of her environment.
