My cats really wanted to like this toy, it's very crinkly and fun at first sight. But it's not terribly practical for the way they like to play, which is going inside the sack and then batting at a toy I drag under/around it. I think they wish it had more holes, or maybe some mesh windows, and that the crinkle fabric didn't collapse in on itself once you get past the ring opening. I think the fabric could be thinner too, or they could make a non crinkle version since that adds thickness and my cats don't care about it.

This looked like a fun toy for our cats. It seemed like a good idea to get it. And to my surprise, I was received it one day, then received another one two days later. I only ordered one. But that aside, It has a little mousey "baby" attached to it that is the kind our youngest cat loves. It took a little bit for our younger cat to warm up to it and not be skittish of it. Then she enjoyed the crinkle noise it made and poking around in it. Then it happened. I heard much noise from inside it and thought she must be really having a fun time, probably going after the little mousey baby. Then the mewing started. More erratic movement and louder meowing. I was already up to see what the deal was, and that is when I saw the situation. As fun as the holes to poke their head through idea seems, I realized in that instant that no, this is not in fact a good idea. There our poor little Dove was with her head stuck out through the hole, she could not get it back out, with her body inside the "bag", freaked out cause, well it had to feel really bad and confining for a cat and every time she moved it made the crinkle crunching noise, so that added to her panic and she was pretty much flailing inside it. She actually did manage to move it around a bit, like crazy walking, which was kind of impressive if not for the rush to get her out of it!It is probably good that her body was inside of it like a bag and she could not run, not only to help us get her out of it but for her own safety too because once someone left out a plastic grocery bag and she managed to get her head through the handle of that, got it stuck and also freaked out, like a maniac and took off running so fast around the house and banged into things and knocked over a small shelf and some boxes, around and around she went, so fast, until she ran under my big comfy chair and we managed to trap her under there so we could calm her down and get the bag off. I have never seen such a thing in my life and did not know just how fast she was until that day, so luckily there was no repeat of that scene! I did have to have my daughter help to calm her down and then I was able to rescue her from the crinkle bag of craziness. And I now remember, if it has any kind of head sized hole, it's a hard no.That is just our experience and our cat. Your cat may enjoy this crinkle bag and maybe your cat does not freak out like the world is on fire when they get their head stuck. That is up to you to decide.

Yes - cats like crinkly bag type things to play in.This cat tunnel material is indeed "crinkly". There are 5 holes in the top of the tunnel, and the opening is kept open with a plastic ring sewn into it.Pictured is one of my 8 cats named CoCo. She is 11 years old & my official "toy tester".She will play with anything...and I mean anything - not just cat toys. She played with this tunnel for approx 10 minutes. One time, when I first got it on Oct 1, but has not played with it at all since then. Here is the problem - as I seen thru CoCo's eyes. The tunnel is more of a bag than a tunnel, but that has no effect in her playing with it. She will play in a plain old plastic shopping bag for a long time - until I pick it up and put it away. For the size of this bag, I don't think the holes are necessary because it makes the bag more of a flat sheet - with nothing to crawl into. The tunnel is mostly holes - if that makes sense. After 10 minutes of playing on it, CoCo walked away leaving the bag in a pile, and has shown no more interest in it. It has not been moved, and it's 1 1/2 months later. This toy might be good for a kitten. My cats are all over 6 yrs. I am going to donate it to the cat rescue downtown, and we will see if kittens have any interest in it.

I like this toy for my 2 cats but my one concern is the small holes could create a problem with cats getting stuck in them and I would not recommend you leave your cats unsupervised while playing with this toy. When I’m not home I put it away in closet. Both my cats almost got stuck in small hole. Luckily I was there to help them out.
