It's a small thing but so useful and practical tool if you make beaded jewelry. I've used bead spinner before and never had a problem holding the needle to get beads on jewelry cord but having this automatic bead spinner has changed my mind on that. There is a learning curve in using this machine, but I used the beads and accessories included in the box to experiment while I figured out how to use this. Once I got a hang of the spinner, I think it's a game-changer in terms of being a time-saver, because it does save time it's a great value for the money.

THE GOOD:--------------* We've gone through several automatic bead spinners, and this one so far is the best version we've come across.* Very quiet in operation.* Adjustable speed dial.* You can power it by usb (must provided own power adapter), or use three AAA batteries.* Comes with a starter pack of beads and elastic strings to get you started right away.* Terrific looking retail packaging, so it's very giftable.THE BAD:-----------* Nothing at all, 5-Stars.

It might take a little bit of practice but once you get it this makes beading incredibly fast and easy! This is one of the easier spinners to learn to use.

Spinning beader allows for hands-free, random beading of bracelets and necklaces. Comes with a sizeable bag of decent quality heishi beads, elastic string, USB-C cord, a bobbin of lignthweight thread, and clear, easy to follow instructions. To use, one fills the rotating bowl with beads, inserts the threading needle, and turns the power on. One has to hold the needle to get it started, but once going and in position, it self-feeds and strings. I didn't observe any scratches or other marks on the beads. The needle has an needle eye at the outfeed end to which the cotton string is attached. The elastic cord is then attached to the other end of the thread, creating a pathway for the beads to travel. One can stop the beader to add other beads, spacers, or charms using this junction. My main concern is the transition between the thread and elastic. The elastic string included with the set is thick (I think 1mm), this makes a lot of bulk at the transition between the thread and elastic string. I had to manually feed the beads over this, and on two occasions had the elastic come out. Lighter weights of elastic string would help here for sure, and there may be better ways of attaching the elastic than the one shown in the instructions.Runs on batteries or included USB-C cable. I didn't try the battery option to see how long they would last, but I would hazard they run out fairly quickly as the spinner is constantly running. The USB-C cord worked well. I also tested it with a couple of different USB-C charging cables around the house and they all seemed to work with the spinner. The instructions also show the spinner can be used with smaller beads. I did not test this option.
