This bracket is installed on our Jeep Wrangler and it's a perfect fit without any issues. We use this for football season where we can go tailgating for our college football team. The bracket has a very thick gauge metal and it does not bend or yield when the flag pole exerts force on the bracket. The bracket has a very nice black sheet on the finish where it matches our trim color perfectly. The whole thing just looks very integrated and stock, which is what I love about this bracket. Later on I might take it to the tool shed and apply some CERAKOTE to further strengthen the coating for UV resistance. By then, I may even challenge myself to apply the color of our alma mater; Purple and Gold, you guess it. As far as how this bracket performs, I'm totally content and am confident that it'll last. And though it looks like a peripheral installation, it looks very integrated. Very satisfied with this bracket.

This antenna/flag mounting bracket for Jeep Wrangler JL is pretty nice. It's thick enough to be sturdy, but thin enough to not cause a problem with installation. It's black powdercoat finish should hold up well. I installed this on my 2018 JL Sahara; it is a clean install and the bracket is easily accessible and there is enough clearance from the body. However, ignore the instructions - they are full of errors and omissions. Here's what to do:1) Remove the spare tire.2) Remove the 2 T-27 [NOT T-50, like it says in the instructions] screws on the right-hand side of the factory tire carrier.3) Remove the 13mm bolt to the right of those 2 screws.4) Do NOT discard the factory hardware as suggested in the instructions.5) Install the bracket and replace the factory 2 T-27 screws and 13mm bolt.6) Replace the spare tire.

This CB Antenna Spare Tire Mount Bracket worked out pretty well. I needed a second antenna mount for a 10 M antenna on the Jeep and this was easy to install. Once installed it was easy to route the cable into the back and up to the front to the radio. Overall, pretty simple install and happy with the bracket.

we are using this to hold a whip light and it is working great. you need to take your spare tire off to install but it is very sturdy and holding up nice. you can barley see it when you have it mounted. you could possibly use this for a CB also if you would like. easy to install and durable so far. this is a great mounting option at a great price.

I needed an angle bracket for a different vehicle and I ordered this one with the intention to cut it to size. The product is sturdy, but the claim of it being "powder-coated" is a bit of a stretch. It appears to be just a steel plate painted black.I wish the seller provided specifications, especially considering that this is a DIY product. The antenna mounting hole diameter is 14mm (9/16"). Note that the hole is off-center for the reason unbeknown to me. I needed a 16mm (5/8") hole and while I can drill it wider, it needs a good drill press for offset drilling, otherwise the hole will end up being too close to one edge.Judging from other reviews, the bracket fits the vehicle it is intended for. Just make sure your mounting barrel is 14mm. UHF antennas with PL-259/SO-239 mounts are 16mm.Update: I drilled a couple of holes in the bracket for my mounting needs. It took forever and required a carbide drill bit. The steel is hardened and exceptionally strong.

I had originally bought a CB/HAM mount that mounted to the bottom of the spare tire carrier. The problem with it was that it allowed the spare tire to touch the antenna and if you had a spring mount on the antenna, it prevented the spring from flexing at all. What it did do though was give me a pattern by which I could possibly design my own antenna mount to correct its defeciencies. As I was working on this in preparation for a 3200+ mile trip, this item came up on my Amazon Vine suggestions and I decided to give it a try since it would be quicker to order it and install it than the paint I had put on my design would take to properly cure.It arrived one day before the trip and I was able to get it installed and hooked up to my Jeep's HAM radio. Even with the spring installed on the antenna, it did not touch the tire. It was *close*, but it didn't... Well, at least not when the vehicle was sitting in my driveway -- I'm not too sure what was happening at highway speeds. At the end of the trip, I noticed that the antenna was leaning slightly rearward. At the start of the trip, it was perfectly straight up and down. It appears that the 90+ mph (in places) wind was enough to bend the bracket slightly. That would be easy enough to prevent by welding a grommet on the side of the bracket where the antenna mount between the vertical and horizontal sections.I'll leave it on for now, but I'll probably switch to the mount that I designed and built in the future.Ordered: 2023-11-01Received: 2023-11-03Reviewed: 2023-11-21STAR RATING SCALE:1 -- Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.2 -- Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.3 -- Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".4 -- Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.5 -- Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.
