Father-in-law's ATV started killing the battery. Found the original rectifier had a shorted phase connecting the battery right to the negative. Ordered this, fought the plastic for 20 minutes, installed and tested, all good, fought plastic for 20 more minutes, good as new.

lasted about 8 months then began to overcharge battery. Completely boiled a sealed agm battery. charging output was near 17v at idle and only increased from there.

I’d like to have others comment on longevity.I have about 4 of these on machines—none long enough to be confident.Voltage stays stable around 14.3V.Won’t work for 1987-1989 Quadrunner 250 as they have an additional wire from the stator.

It fit my 1999 Suzuki King Quad.My 1999 Suzuki King Quad wouldn't run above an idle, and the voltage at the battery was 18 volts.I think the old voltage regulator was putting A/C ripple on the line causing the crank pick-up to miss fire.
