I'm in a non-traditional hockey market so I'm limited with what's available at local retailers. So, online orders are filling the gap. Trouble with buying helmets is that you want to try it before you buy. The two helmets I considered (which are pretty much the entry level helmets) were the CCM Tacks 70 and Bauer IMS 5.Contrary to other reviews, the CCM has a much better feel and fit, particularly if you have a round head. This CCM helmet is comfortable. The Bauer helmet was tight on the sides of the head to the point of providing discomfort.Other noteworthy points: The Bauer also sits lower on the head; the CCM sits higher on the head.Having said that, the Bauer is $10 less expensive and is slightly lighter.
