This item was dead on arrival. Brought it, unopened box, on out of town project. When we first tried to use it, it failed to charge leaving us without communications....

We almost sent this back because it wasn't working with our Vertex radios but found that an added adapter in the bottom of the charger which kept the contacts on the radio battery from properly engaging the charging pins. Once the plastic adapter plate was removed the unit worked perfectly.
