COMPACT, light weight, fits in back pocket of jeans, these are the binoculars you will carry around with you because they're small but powerful, adjusts to fit large and small faces like kids, easy focus ring, quality is not consistent with price, these are way better than their under $20.00 price tag, GOOD close focus distance, GOOD light gathering during stargazing. You can buy better optics with higher quality glass but if you don't bring them because they're bulky, heavy, too valuable to damage while living life what good are they? The best binoculars are the ones you actually take with you

I needed a really lightweight and compact pair of binoculars for hiking and travel. The problem is that I have a relatively large head and my eyes are pretty far apart. Most compact binoculars don't spread out wide enough so that both eyes can see through the lenses.I also didn't want to spend a lot of money. When I saw a review on a respected web magazine endorsing this product, I decided to give it a try...THE ROSES: Very light and compact with folded, but they can spread out to accommodate even people with wide-set eyes like me (as a matter of fact, at full extension they're even wider than my eye spread)! Surprisingly good-quality optics for this price point. Moving parts (hinges, adjustable lens) feel smooth and solid. Nice quality case. Eye cups are easily folded down for glasses wearers, but how durable they are over time remains to be seen. Carrying case is of good quality.THE THORNS: The neck lanyard isn't removable. It's just a cheap string (well, if you have to skimp anywhere, this is a reasonable place to do it). If you don't like it, you just have to cut it off and do without. No lens covers (but to be fair, I have a set of Nikon compact binoculars and I'm perpetually misplacing the included lens covers, so perhaps it's all for the better?).THE VERDICT: At $25, these binoculars punch well above their price point. I purchased them in a bundle here on Amazon which included a 10x25 monocular for $40, which is an even better value if you can find it.Recommend.

Needed to view status lights on external video cameras that were just too far away to see with the naked eye, and too close for regular binoculars. This product provided me with the perfect solution at a reasonable cost.

Of course this binocular is not the best available. That would be an unrealistic expectation at this price point. However, I was very surprised at the quality of the optics. The main negative is the sloppy and finicky focusing mechanism. However, once focused it is surprisingly good for something so inexpensive. The carrying 'strap' is just string glued to the binocular so no way to easily exchange for something better. Overall, recommend for someone that doers not have a lot of money to spend and needs a pocketable (it truly fits in a jacket pocket) binocular or one that fits on a belt for occasional use. It seems well made but I cannot advise on longevity as only had it a short while.

Was not expecting much but 16x ONCE focused properly was sharp ..crucial you adjust the diopter correctly ..stays focused..too dark for sky clusters but great for Moon and Jupiters moons and hreat for long distance observation as long as you rest binos rubber eyepiece cups on your eye sockets not a lot of eye relief for eyeglass wearers so suggest the 10x32 as has more and great for the sky and birds..a real surpride how smooth it opens up too..no its not quite a $300 ed dont be silly ..but performs far above its usually discounted price point.

My 4 year old daughter wanted a pair of binoculars. I looked at the kids’ ones and they seemed overpriced for plastic. I decided to buy these based on the reviews. They come in a small box but are rather nice! They also come with a case to put on your belt and built in straps to wear around your neck. The first day she owned them the strap came apart and could not be fixed, it was glued on the binoculars. She loves them and I think the clarity is amazing! I was able to zoom in on items and see them very well. They are not heavy but they do have a solid build. One thing to be careful of, they do dent very easily. She has dropped them the last few days and they look a year old now. However, they work well and for that I am going to give them a high review.

I originally bought the Carson Hawk Kid's Binoculars for my son's 4th birthday. They are rated 5X magnification. I learned for kids you want a lower power and wider field of view. Only problem is they were double visioned. Sitting on the front porch he asked to look through mine. Hes 4 and knew mine were better and asked to trade. So, I bought these Celestron G2 8x21 model# 71230. They are powered about right for him and they have a real wide field of view. Next time we were on front porch watching farmer on his tractor in the field across the street i offered him a trade. He loves these and now the carson kids TOY is mine to throw away. They are about the same size as the Toy ones. I tied a knot is the neck strap to shorten it to fit him. We've went on short hikes with them. In spring we're going camping with them. They about as strong as my Celestron 10X25 but with a wider view. They're as clear as my old Tasco 7X35. Would make a great first binocular or a great glove box unit. Also great for when you need/want a binocular but don't have room or don't want to carried your larger one.FYI. Binoclars isn't called a PAIR. its just one. Two monoculars put together makeing a binocular. LOL
