So, I have another brand of cell booster in my van. A well known and significantly more expensive brand and model that runs off 12v DC power and is made for vehicles. That booster works amazingly well except for the fact that I literally have to have my phone leaning up against the inside antenna to get the signal boost it provides. That's not that big of a deal in the van. I had hoped when getting this one for the house that because it ran on AC power the inside antenna would be more powerful and cover a larger area. Unfortunately that isn't the case. While I don't have to have the phone leaning directly against the antenna I still can't be more than a few feet from it without losing most of the signal. So, with that in mind, it could definitely be useful and the price is right.

I tested this at my cousins house. She lives far out in the countryside and i would never have a signal to support any normal usage of my cellphone, other than delayed text messages. We set this up and played around with the placement and finally got a good signal that allowed me to scroll social media, which was never possible before. This alone proved to me that this device is capable of boosting cell signals. My cousin has been using it for a couple of weeks and couldn’t be happier with this device.

Surprised this worked so well, good for at least 2 to 3 bars of cell signal on Mint mobile a boost of about 10b of even coverage around my home versus barely getting a single bar. I put the antenna in the attic and indoor antenna in closet so could be even better with better antenna placement. For the most part this will benefit my guests who may not have access to my Wi-Fi.

I bought the Tu-pong Cell Phone Signal Booster for my brother Bob’s vacation home in Park City, where getting a decent cell signal was always a struggle. This booster has been a game changer, ensuring strong and stable connections.Installation was simple, and the difference was noticeable right away. Calls are now clear, and there are no more frustrating dropped connections. Bob can work remotely without any communication hitches, which has made his stays much more productive.Streaming and internet browsing have also improved dramatically. What used to be a buffering nightmare is now smooth and fast, enhancing the entertainment options during his getaways.

I have a few of these on my property. I live remote and without boosters communication relies on pigeons lol Installation is the same here as any other. Get these antennaes as high as you can, makes all the difference in the world on its strength and make sure your pointed toward the closest tower. This works well, but not as well as the $300 units I have. Im short a bar on the this unit vs others and is a bit slower n spotty. Guess price shows here and it is what it is, a cheaper unit that works ok.

The directions that come with this cell booster are somewhat confusing but after going over them several times I proceeded to set up this cell booster the best I could. After getting everything installed and turned on I can see where the booster’s lights are showing signal but I haven’t been able to tell a difference on my phone.

I live in a weak cell phone area and have an older cell phone signal booster (shown in the background of the picture). The older amp lacks some of the newer bands this one has. This booster gives us a strong signal inside, well into the green arc on a cell phone signal strength app (reading average is -88 dBm with a full 5 bars showing on the phone). With this booster amplifier turned off, the reading drops well into the red (useless area!) at -125 dBm and a cell phone will no longer function properly. With this booster amp on, cell phone reception in our main living area is excellent.Being in the electronics business (retired), I have installed a good number of cell phone booster amps over the years. The instructions that come with this kit stress two important points and are spot on. The outside antenna must have physical separation from the inside antenna. Vertical separation is most important with the outside antenna installed high (higher is better) and higher than the inside antenna for sure. Horizontal separation is also important. Both distance as well as positioning the antennas with as much "building structure" between the two antennas as is practicable. The inside antenna should ideally be pointing away from the direction the external antenna is mounted. All this is so the signal retransmitted inside is not "seen" or received by the outside antenna. If the inside signal is picked up by the outside antenna it will create what's referred to as a "feedback loop", This will quickly overwhelm the booster amplifier, causing it to reduce its output power or shut down to the point you won't likely have a usable signal inside.Bottom line, this is a good, well performing cell phone booster. It requires at least 1 bar of outside signal strength - mine is borderline low so I'm using a Yagi directional antenna instead of the omnidirectional antenna included in this kit. The included omni directional antenna has an advantage in that it does not have to be horizontally aimed at a cell tower and can "talk to" more than one cell tower. That's not likely to happen with the Yagi. However, the Yagi is able to boost its received signal with its higher "gain". So for extremely weak cell signal areas that can help. The literature included with this kit lists a Yagi antenna as an option. If your 0utside signal strength is adequate, at least 1 bar on the phone, the omni-directional antenna should be just fine.
