So, this is basically a design copy cat of a Hot Racing heavy duty motor mount/housing. The main difference is on this one the hook shape that goes around the driveshaft does not contact the vertical housing plate, thus not providing any lateral support. But, generally an aluminum housing should be stronger than a plastic one with an aluminum plate. I have bought plenty of aftermarket motor mounts for Arrma 3s line of cars. None are immune to bending. This mount should solve that issue.So far I have ran 8-10 packs through it, 3s and 4s, and I have yet to find any issues. I pull my power module every two runs to inspect. Not a bit of damage at all. The only thing I noticed was a bit of wear on the inside of the front plate where the slipper/spur rubs against the housing. Nothing a shim can’t fix.I do wish it came in all black, though, instead of blue/black.If you bash your rigs hard, I would highly recommend this mount.

This really expands the options for spur gears. My original motor mount had to be drilled out to allow for running a larger spur (26t) than stock. I cannot say for certain what the largest would be, but 26t is about halfway on the cut-outs on this one.Everything fits nice and snug, no weird slop in terms of the entire assembly. The tongue on this one is much looser in the groove on the chassis, but once fully assembled with the rear differential, driveshaft and bulkhead it should sit firmly in place and be much easier to remove for maintenance compared to the stock plastic one.In theory this should solve the major issue with bending motor mounts that the 3S BLX platform has, but only time can truly answer that question and I will update once this has some more run time on it, but I do have high hopes for it. The motor mount being integrated into the entire front half of the gearbox should make it much more stout.
