I got this simply because it had quicker deliver then the Bosch I purchased. It would not even start a thread!Even after I ground the end of the pipe for 316" it still would not start!Fortunately the Bosch that I had ordered arrived early and it worked like a charm!Do yourself a favor and just get the Bosch!

It's not a heavy duty tool and the teeth have some fractures on the sharper ridges, but it produces useable threads on Noryl plastic and aluminum. It cuts, not abrades, a big improvement over two other low priced die that I tried to use.

I used this die to tap the outside of 1/4" aluminum pipe which is used for diptubes in nitrous oxide bottles. Worked great, made my car super fast.
