The first thing to know about these is that they've never been tested with a chainsaw by me. And by that I mean, the only way you know if these do the job is to try to cut through them when the chainsaw, which fouls up the chainsaw and destroys the pants. They do seem to be a very high quality, however. The second thing to know is that they do run quite small. Having ordered the largest size so they could be worn over some other clothes, they fit a little more snuggly than I would have expected.that do appear to be good quality for the money however.

I wear 38" in my jeans and other trousers. I ordered these in the 38-42" and found them almost uncomfortably snug in the waist. To be able to have room to move and have flexibility I need to keep the top button undone and rely on the suspenders. They are something I'll only wear when I need protection while actively chainsawing in the yard. Order a size bigger than you think you'll need due to this. The quality is good. They are quite heavy, weighing in around 1.5-2 kilos on my scale. I feel like they will provide the protection I want and need.

Absolutely love these pants! I use them when I'm doing arborist work as well as other work during the winter time because they're super warm! They are high quality and come with a set of suspenders!! They'll safe a limb in a Chainsaw accident!

Wow, I love these pants! I thought they were going to be like wearing metal or something, but they're surprisingly comfortable - they fit a lot like some very good work pants I have. They also have some stretch to them, but they are admittedly a bit heavy and probably hot in the summer. But they are actually UL listed, with the label right there on the thigh. It is nice to have the right equipment for the right job. I also love that these have a soft, clear case with them, so you can store them with your work equipment, but not have them getting all filthy when not in use. Love good gear that allows me to be as safe as possible.

If there's one thing I've learned when buying clothing online, it's to size up. As Americans, we tend to be more "robust" than our brethren overseas, but when dealing with clothing made largely for foreign markets, I've found that they're constructed for people with much smaller frames (especially in Asia). Hence the admonition to size up whenever possible..The same is true for the extremely well-crafted YARDMARIS Technical Chainsaw Pants. Now I don't handle a chainsaw too often, but I could instantly see the utility to having a pair of pants like these for those demanding jobs where say, regular blue jeans might get torn up in the process. These multi-layered pants are really thick, with extra padding to protect you and help prevent injury. There's a booklet included showing a body map of the typical areas where chainsaw injuries occur. These pants help to mitigate that, and I suggest you give the booklet a look to ensure that other parts of the body receive the same level of protection. The excellent quality is apparent throughout the construction. But then we come to the issue of sizing...I'm a larger guy, and I ordered the largest size that they had and could barely get these on. Once on, my movement was limited by how extremely TIGHT they were. Remember, these pants are THICK in order to protect you. I would suggest these for thin people, but would still say you should order SEVERAL SIZES LARGER than you'd normally wear, just in case. Now if they would offer a big and tall line... :)The YARDMARIS Technical Chainsaw Pants are an absolutely EXCELLENT product, with the only problem being that they didn't fit me. I'm not going to remove any stars, as they deserve 5 stars due to the high-quality build, and the enhanced protection on offer (it's not their fault I like my cheeseburgers!). :) Just be sure to size WAY UP in order to ensure a great fit. Highly recommended.

They fit at least 2 sizes smaller than they say. I ordered the same size as my jeans and they were 2 sizes to small.

I ordered these chainsaw pants for my husband. He's a 38-40 inch waist, so I ordered him the 38-42 inch option on the item page. When he tried these on, he found the fit to be uncomfortably snug. He can get them on, but they're so tight that he can't bend or stoop or squat. I tried seeing how many fingers I could get in his waistband, and I could not get any fingers between his beltline. In conclusion, order a size up if you want to be able to breathe and move comfortably.
