I have a Craftsman model 139.54985 garage door opener purchased in Feb 2017. This chain/cable kit part number 41A5807 was the perfect replacement for the original chain/cable. No instructions came with it, but you can find instructions on YouTube, or refer to the user manual if you still have it. Not too hard to install. I did also purchase the separate Master Link kit (part number 4A1008), which is a good idea I think. You could reuse the ones you take off the old chain/cable, but they’d be easy to lose I suspect.

When you pay $65 for a chain kit, one would expect new master links. Two new master links wouldn’t have cost the manufacturer $.50. Now It is necessary to travel to the local hardware store for new links. AND on top of that the chain was about 6 inches to long and had to be shortened to make it fit. The item was ordered to fit a specific model AND it didn’t.

I’d give 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that it was too long for my opener, even though the product description said it was designed for it. Used a grinder as others did to remove several links
