The belt is fine. Seems to work as intended. I was disappointed that it’s described as being made of leather and it’s not. It looks nice from far away but time will tell if it hold up to use.

This is a well made and comfortable kids belt. The ratchet feature is excellent and so must nicer than a traditional belt buckle. The leather is supple and very nicely finished. A great value at the price point.

I ordered this belt for my son in size 29 - 32, and I feel it's true to size, especially given how long the ratcheting strip on the back is. The ratchet strip is plastic, and it's embedded in the material of the belt, only visible on the reverse (see photo). The buckle holds the ratchet securely and releases smoothly. The stitches are even and well sewn. The buckle is a very sturdy metal with some heft. The material doesn't smell or feel like leather to me, perhaps it's very heavily painted leather. The big problem with this belt is the color, and this is why I deducted a star. I ordered this in dark brown, and the color looks brown, until you put it up against something that is actually brown (like the shoes it should match). I've attached a photo of the belt on my espresso (very dark brown) colored couch for some contrast. The belt color has kind of a pink/dark coral undertone to it. The edges of the belt are colored darker, and these have kind of a grey tone. As long as you aren't wearing the belt on brown pants, it will probably be fine. But now that I've noticed the odd color, I can't unsee it, and I probably wouldn't order this again, even though it does seem well made, and the ratchet idea is successful and practical.
