PVC Schedule 40 has better sound deadening qualities than PVC Schedule 40 DWV Foam Core and ABS Foam Core. Installation requires the use of primer and solvent cement. These work great to slip over the outside of 2" PVC which is 2.5". I only use them for repairs, which saves me from building a complete new system in some cases.
