Internal padding is just cheap packing foam that will crush over time. Fortunately that can be easily replaced with a pool noodle or similar. The biggest issue is the adjustment straps are too long for the stock so without some modification to the straps it will not fit a standard M1A/M14 wood stock.

First, it does not fit the Ruger 1022 stock. It is otherwise very functional and would be a great addition.

Really awesome quality, great price and very adjustable. Works perfect for what we needed it for. Will buy again if we get something else that needs something like this.

I don’t know what kind of rifle stock they made this for but it does not fit ANY one that I own. I took a chance after reading the reviews and I made a mistake in purchasing this. The other reviews are correct. The straps are WAY to long for any ordinary rifle stock. Thank God it was pretty inexpensive. I will try and have it modified by a family member who sews and if it turns out ok then it will be usable. Buyer beware.

Tried putting this on an M1A standard wood stock, a very large and bulky butt stock and this thing is still way too big. Poorly made to boot. Save your money. Will be returning ASAP

Fits some rifles decently but will require some fitting. Get a friend with a sewing machine to help or get down and dirty with buying a used machine and trying a stab at sewing yourself. Folded up foam roll paper is the fill that came in mine. Purchased Hard Foam Cheek Risers off Amazon and cut them to size to fit inside of the Cheek Riser Area. Without this you wont get a consistent cheek weld. Removed some stitching from the Rifle Round Carrier to be able to squeeze in Three 22LR magazines in. Now I have 3 Magazines and a Pen on the Rifle at all Times during competition. Removed the Stitching on the left side holding the Velcro pad. Didnt need it personally but couldve used it to carry a Dope Card or Map easily. The Rear Stock Strap is not necessary if you add Velcro to the top of the stock and the bottom of this Cheek Riser where the Riser will sit. there is no forward or rearward movement. only a very small amount of movement side to side with no straps tightened. With the Straps tightened it will not move. The Rear Stock Strap interfered with the buttstock grip interfacing my shoulder/chest.

This seems to be designed for a larger stock but the straps are designed to fold in on themselves to get a tighter hold. With a little creativity it can attach to even a smaller stock like my 10/22 with a very firm hold. I debated getting another stock entirely but this cheek riser is the perfect height and the color options allowed me to get a perfect match. In the photos you can see that i folded the elastic band into the velcro to get a tighter hold. When covered with the velcro pouch it is held in firmly and looks very clean. Overall, my 10/22 is far more comfortable to shoot when using a scope.
