Absolut Spitze.

I can't rave enough about the Chiaogoo brand needles. These needles are fantastic and the case is lovely. The stainless steel is very strong and even the smallest (size 0/2mm) needles are still perfectly straight, despite the hard miles put on them. They are nice and sharp for sock and lace yarn, but not so sharp that they'll draw blood. They are also a better alternative for those with nickel sensitivity, rather than the nickel plating used on many brands.

Son una maravilla. Cómodos en su tamaño de 15cm para calcetines. Las agujas no pesan, muy suaves, tejes rapidísimo y no se escapan los puntos de ellas. Yo las recomiendo

I absolutely love these needles. They are smooth and so nice to knit with. Really nice tips make more complicated lacework stitches easier to maneuver.

I already own the complete set of ChiaoGoo's Red Lace Twist circular needles, and I've been enjoying knitting with those so much that when it was time to invest in a set of DPNs since I'm starting to make smaller items like baby socks and gloves, I knew ChaioGoo was the brand to go to. I couldn't be happier with my decision! If you're already a fan of ChiaoGoo's stainless steel needles, these DPNs won't disappoint! It's the same great knitting feel with the same cute carrying case! Each needle set (US 0/2.0mm, 1/2.25mm, 1.5/2.5mm, 2/2.75mm, 2.5/3.0mm, and 3/3.25mm) comes with 5 needles each, and the carrying case has a zippered compartment on the back side which holds stitch markers and a gauge card.10/10 definitely recommend if you're looking for a great set of DPNs for a great value!

I have several sets of DPNs, but this is the only set I carry around with me. The carrying case is a great size for tucking into a project bag and pretty cute too. I never think I will need different sizes of DPNs with me, but I am always out somewhere when I decide I need to go down/up a needle size. The print on the needles is pretty small, but it seems like it won't rub off as easily as other sets I have, which were gone before the first sock was finished. I've gotten through a pair of socks with these and the sizing is still on there (albeit necessarily quite small) and doesn't appear to be coming off. It looks like they have changed the product and not updated the photos. The case has a label for each size of needle (both size and mm on the label), so it's easy to see which set is in use if they aren't in their pocket. [I posted a picture of mine and have requested Amazon update their product photo]Other reviews (and the product photo) show the included needle gauge only measured as small as a size 2, despite the fact that this set goes down to size 0. That has been corrected. Mine came with a needle gauge that fit in the pocket, but measures down all the way to 0. [I posted a picture of mine and have requested Amazon update their product photo] The gauge is a really nice touch. It comes in handy, especially if you can't read the sizing on the needles. The pocket it comes in is also a great touch. Nice place to stash stitch markers, cable needles and darning needles. The zippers have nice large pulls and make them easy to use.I bought many a set of needles, including bamboo, nickel, brass and plastic. I really like stainless steel for a needle material. It is not slippery like glass, but it lets the knitting slide nicely when it needs to. It feels nice in the hands and unlike brass needles, doesn't leave an odor on your hands. I would describe these needles as relatively sharp. They are great for getting in lace stitches. They aren't sharp enough to hurt my hands when knitting with them, but they aren't dull points by any standard. I don't find them any more likely to split yarn than other needles, but this may be due to technique or habit. Your mileage may vary.I find these needles to be a great value. I have paid more for a set in a much larger, less convenient and not as well thought-out case, with no stitch markers or needle gauge. It is obvious to me given the changes between the version shown here and the version I got that they have taken comments of actual users to heart. I would highly recommend them.

I'm an experienced knitter, who has used wood, aluminum, bamboo, steel, plastic, and even candy-colored casein sock needles. These measure up well. There is no bend to the small gauge needles. The surface is smooth, but with a wool blend yarn (the only fiber I have tried w these so far) the needles are not too slippery. You KNOW how dreadful it is to use needles w a surface like wet glass, stitches slipping all over. Not so w these. As for the points, they are sharp, but not so sharp that they hurt if I need some leverage to work a stitch. Whether you will split yarn more or less frequently w them depends, I suppose, on how you knit. I do not find that I split reliable yarn w these needles. But if there is a particularly splitty yarn (and there is some dreadful sock yarn out there), then you will probably split w these too. I knit my basic ribbing and stockinette more by touch than by sight. You get more and more presbyopic and see if YOU don't do the same! I find the points very effective at catching the stitch. The case is cute, and it'll protect the set in a bag. The included needle gauge is ok, but does not measure below a size 2. These needles go down to a zero. The mfg makes an 8 inch gauge that does go that small, and even smaller, but it is 8 inches and would not fit in the case. I painted a stripe of nail polish on the shaft of each needle. Different color for each set/size. I may not be able to measure the gauge, but at least I will know which needles go together. If I find the polish interferes w the knitting (has not yet), I can just remove it from the steel wo harming the needle.
