The large size affordable price easy to use works well, five star product. Personally what I like about it the most is how the top spins so well/freely you do need to use both hands one on each knob but the design of the bottom plate.. I mean wow it really just sticks to whatever you got it on reminds me of those mats for the dashboard that seem to magically hold your cell phone. And then you can just give it a twist to the left to the right, back and forth motion and just a couple times of that will do the trick but you can also take it all the way around in a circle if you want it it's up to user preference and the teeth are plastic but they're strong. And I don't know if you can tell from the picture or not but they're not just appointed piece of plastic they're grooved it's basically a five-pointed star that tapers to a point so it's definitely built to shred and does it well. And then finally aside from the very lovely packaging that I enjoy immensely, because of the nice dedicated cleaning brush though obviously it could be used on many other things, it is a good brush strong bristles and it makes cleaning this thing a breeze compared to trying to do yourself by hand or with a washcloth or sponge etc

Finally got to use this product for the first time last night and, I've gotta say, it's a game changer. I don't have a KitchenAid, I've seen a lot of people use those to shred chicken. I have the meat shredding claws, but they feel clumsy, clunky, and they take forever. I usually end up just using two dinner forks to finish the job, much faster and much finer pulls, which I love. This product achieves exactly that in a fraction of the time, it works amazing! At first, it was awkward and I felt like I was gonna end up little shreds of chicken all over my counter mat. Then, I had a lightbulb to cut the chicken breasts into smaller chunks and just added a couple at a time. Once it felt full, I emptied it out into my bowl and kept going. What once took 30mins, now takes maybe 5-10. I'm astounded by quick and easy it is to use, and the accompanying scrub brush makes cleaning it a breeze too. Impressive kitchen product, I definitely recommend it to anyone making dishes with shredded meat.

Taco Tuesday was a hit! My little children helped to shred the chicken and had fun doing it. They’re getting at the age where they are wanting to help in the kitchen and this is a fun tool and a great activity for 9 year olds to help with. You can even add condiments in the container and make chicken salad all in one spot. I’ve used shredded cheese and green chilies from a can, great way to mix everything together and using less bowls to do this process. There has to be more attention paid to cleaning the shredder because it does have spikes and food tends to gather at the base. I use a bottle brushes that reaches in there and I don’t mind. It is light enough that my hands don’t get tired from scrubbing and rinsing at the sink. I see myself using this a lot as little helpers found it fun to use and they want to be creative and “mish-mash” other things like bananas with oatmeal and marshmallows and graham crackers just to see what happens. I love anything hands-on and that is safe for children to try too and help.

easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Easy to use and easy to shred. the only knock is the chicken chunks tend to make their way to the outside of the spokes so you have to move them back to the middle of the shredder several times. Not sure it saves time while meal prepping.

This chicken shredder works very well. Rubber stripping on the bottom makes sure it stays on the counter top and the overly large handles help twist for that perfect shred. However, a lot of the other reviews talk about cleaning it. It isn't that bad, as I was able to flip it over and knock all the chicken onto a paper plate. I made sure this one was dishwasher safe and then just threw it in the top rack, grease and all. If you do not have a garbage disposal, expect to be cleaning out your sink drain trap a lot. Or if you don't have a dishwasher, this is probably a nightmare. I rinsed the chicken out and threw it in the dishwasher. I'm not sure how much time this really saves, but we do a lot of shredding rotisserie chickens and then freezing them. If you're doing multiple chickens at once, this is a time saver, but I would never take it out for one breast or thigh. I also make a buffalo chicken dip that requires shredded chicken breasts. This works very well for shredding the 2-3 lbs of chicken for when I make it for the whole family.
