This little item fits perfectly on the business end of my motorcycles side stand. It was very easy to instal using only one Allen driver tool to tighten the three fasteners. It does exactly what it is designed to do, which is to help stop the side stand from sinking into soft ground surfaces, even gravel. The quality of workmanship/machining is very good, and it looks good on the bike. I have researched these side stand extension plates and found this one to be very well priced in comparison to some that are many times the price, and do not appear to be better in any way. This item is very confidence inspiring as parking a heavy bike on the side stand on soft or loose surfaces can be a daunting experience. I am very happy with this item.

… however; my super tenere now has a rattle. The tabs on the top around the shaft have bent some, making the foot loose and rattle. I checked the screws and all were tight. Since I can only hear the rattle when deploying or retracting the stand I’ll leave it on until it falls off.

I’ve had experiences in the past where my motorcycle would sink into soft tarmac, almost tipping over. I got a piece of metal and cleaned it up and even had a leather carrier for it. I’d use it if there were any chance of an “Ooops!” situation.I had high hopes that this side stand pad enlarger would fit my 2024 Triumph Speed 400.It was not listed as offering fitment, but the measurements seemed close, so I gave it a shot. The machining is quite good for such a simple device. The exterior has what appears to be enamel paint. There are three stainless steel hex head screws and they include a small Allen wrench. The metal feels like aluminum, but I can’t be sure. This was my mistake and I may be able use a grinder and open the edge to allow fitment.Build quality = 5 STARS!
