This part has been recalled, I was not notified. the part stopped working after 4 months of being installed. In the middle of winter- this means no heat. I had to contact Chrysler. I was told I would be contacted in 24 hours that was 3 days ago- not contact. Now the part is not available anywhere because of a recall, driving in northern Ohio without heat is not possible.

Perfect match and easy to install in Ram 1500 eco diesel. Make sure you have three good hose clamps to prevent coolant spillage. Removed my engine light problem. Glad I was able to find the part here.

The install took about 30 minutes. Granted I spilled all the coolant because my hose clamps sucked (buy vice grips). But it did not resolve the engine light.

at 170,000 KM, I had a check engine code "coolant bypass valve" that appeared randomly .I found recommendation for this part, there was other replacement cheaper non-genuine . But when I discovered all the trouble to replace this part ..."let do it only once" I took this genuine part.ok, It's difficult to access, remove the older and place the new one.The clamp are difficult to loose and reinstall.I finally made it, it work fine, no apparent leak, I saved a lot of money by doing it.I'm now at 200K and no problem so far, I will buy the same one at 340,000 KM.
