Not sure why it failed, but the door latch wouldn't go in... suspect the inner mechanism that prevents being force-opened locked in place... unsure. Since the square taper mechanism isn't compatible with most doors, I had to put back the original door handle.Its nice, otherwise, all other 4 haven't failed so I would assume its a QC issue... the door bolt mechanism feels cheap, as cheap as you can imagine stamped metal cheap, which is ironic since the actual unit feels much better.Customer Service made it right, so all in all, happy with my purchase. Time will tell how they hold.Oh, they also work with your phone NFC... which is super convenient...

This lock lasted less than 2 months. Hardly used. Not exposed to water. Changed batteries .. removed it from the door.. re assembled it on my kitchen counter.. checked the wiring.. just a dud

Honestly this is a really great product, for how cheap it is I thought it was going to be rather flimsy. The handles are solid metal. My only complaint are the programming instructions weren’t super clear, but once I got it figured out it was too easy.Great product!

This door lock is fantastic, offering multiple options to unlock the door, including a keycard, standard key, and various password combinations. Installation and setup were a breeze — I simply removed the old handle and the provided parts fit perfectly. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for added security at a great price.

Do not purchase this lock unless you want it always to automatically lock. There is no function of this lock for manual locking or “bypass” as they call it.If you turn off auto lock you can’t manually lock the door. If the door you’re using this for you want always locked this is a great value.For a similar price you can get this critical function.

It appeared very well made. Install was fairly simple. Worked well initially until two weeks in and the bolt mechanism stopped working. This was especially frustrating since I was locked out and the product had to be forcibly removed damaging my door in the process. The 30 day window had just passed, but Amazon was reasonable to give me a full refund with the return of the faulty product. Also, the manufacturer apparently offers a one year warranty on parts or replacement at the time of this review. However, with no ability to override any problems with the failed mechanism, it's not worth the risk and frustration.

Excellent hardware!The only way to improve it is by putting a thumb turn on the back to be able to unlock it for a short period of time.Other than that it seems solid, easy to install, easy to use and overall good quality and worth the money spent.

It took months of waiting for the new version, but I got it. I believe the packaging is more austere now, but it appears that money went into product improvement. The instruction booklet is far better than before. I will be recommending this to all, both personally and professionally.The lock and features are just what I wanted. It is sturdy and feels it. The internal software follows a pretty reasonable path. With the improvements in instructions, these are easily 5 star.I've done extensive security work for decades, so I rate the overall for this piece. With the price down a bit, sturdy construction, new instructions, and other improvements, this is the best value I have found both online and on site.I believe the months delay was partially due to redesign. Once I test the new one I just received, I *may* have an update. However, if they kept the good stuff and added more, I may just be happy buying more of these without an update. :-)
