Benefits & Uses for Relative Foods Citric Acid
Water Softening
You can use citric acid to create a softener that binds with the metal ions in your water, most frequently magnesium and calcium. This stops these minerals from being deposited on your shower walls, sinks, and dishes.
Cleaning
Citric Acid, or what is sometimes referred to as "citrate" makes a great organic cleaner. It can be used to create dishwasher cleaner, soap scum remover, bathroom cleaner, window cleaner, oven cleaner, and much more!
Useful for Baths
Citric Acid is one of the three main ingredients in making bath fizzes. Add 1/3 tbsp. citric acid, 2 2/3 tbsp. baking soda, and 2 tbsp. cornstarch to make the dry ingredient base. Then add 1 tsp. vegetable oil, 1 tsp. water and 2 drops of your choice of food coloring, along with a fragrance if you prefer. Mix these together with the dry ingredients a few drops at a time and you've got everything you need to make a bath fizz!
Flavor Enhancer
This all-natural food preservative is versatile and can be used for making homemade candies and jams, dehydrating foods, canning, baking bread, home-brewing, or making select cheese.

I find this most helpful for removing mineral buildup in my electric kettle. A small amount, 1/4 tsp. dissolved in water works quickly, I have found, without even having to boil the water. And a tsp. or so in the dishwasher leaves a really clean finish. Very pleased with this product.

I use this citric acid for making bath bombs and it's by far the best I can find. It's so fine a grind that it captures every small detail and mixes perfectly with the rest of my ingredients. Its the only one I buy anymore because the quality is supreme.

I bought this to make sour, non-alcoholic drinks for my daughter, but this product has many more uses.My family has a tea brewer that easily stains. We tried using different products, but couldn't get the stains out. We read use citric acid can be used for the problem and decided to give it a try. To our surprise, the citric acid worked like a charm. This is a great product.

I typically wait a bit to leave reviews, and the packaging for this product has held up wonderfully! No clumping, no other signs of moisture entering the bag. Highly recommend if anyone is also looking to make a ton of their own mozzarella, there is huge amount of bang for your buck in this bag!

We use this product as a substitute for commercial products that clean dishwasher, sink drains, and washing machine. There’s no smell. There are no added chemicals. It's more cost-effective & much less harsh than commercial cleaning products. It also works very well removing stains from electric water left by chemicals in our water. Not much is needed. Just add it with water & let the product sit in pot. Removes all chemical stains in pot. We purchase food grade because we can also use a bit in fruit salads to prevent browning. Use in beef marinade replacing meat tenderizer. Doesn’t affect flavor of fruit salad or marinades.
