As dice go, these are very good for variety and quality. BUT BE AWARE! Go by the image and NOT the text - I clicked on the (purple body, white text) "White with purple", and received the product in the image, NOT what the text description was of. I hedged my bets and guessed I would receive the text-based product, but I got the opposite.i've alerted Amazon to this description error.

I was intrigued with this set of game dice. It did not disappoint. The numbers are easy to read. And there are some unusual combinations of sides. Great for a bit of new fun for games. I will probably buy some for friends!

First, the red/white style has an off color (faded red) d100- no biggie to me.For Dungeon Crawl Classics players: I just wanted to warn others that this set does NOT have the d14 (14 sided die with numbers 1-14) and the d60 & d100 are just an extra outrageous dice bonus.

These dice are unique, to say the least. Even some of the ordinary dice found in more common 7-piece sets have some unique qualities about them. For example, the D12 has diamond-shaped faces, as opposed to the traditional hexagonal faces found on more common dice. The D3 is set up in the only possible configuration that would allow for two like-sides to be adjoined, while the others are separated, which I found odd. The D100 rolls like a golf ball and doesn't roll well on padded surfaces, such as in a dice tray, due to the faces being so small, effectively rendering it more usable as a conversation piece than anything practical. The D7 is especially unique, as it reminds me of some sort of melted candy, with its unusual, potato-like shape, which I was very happy with. Very pleased with the set overall, and especially so, given its price point.As for the actual quality of the dice, they are legible, have no discernible defects, and the inking on the numbers is clean and consistently readable.

As both a Game Master (GM) and a Game Designer, I have a need for very specific die face-odds. In the past few years with the explosion of 3D printers, there has been a lot of low-quality plastic dice that are unmarked. This set contains high-quality enameled dice with easy-to-read face numbers (available in different colored sets). A few things to note about the dice that are included:Guide: Polyhedrons are perfect shapes (all faces and vertices match to all other faces) and are fair dice. Polygons are nearly Fair Dice (not all vertices and faces match). Symmetric dice are usually poly-shapes that have a face stretched to a point and are mostly fair. Less fair are Planner and Cylindrical dice which are basically a sphere with faces planed off as equally spaced as possible from other faces.D3: Polyhedron (Hexahedron) number 1 to 3 twice (roman numerals so not mixed up with D6 (fair)D4: Polyhedron-Variant (Tetrahedron). A D4 with the points flattened so it rolls better (nearly)*D5: Cylindrical (Non-Geometric). Odd-sided D5 die with results on the top of a pointed side (less)D6: Polyhedron (Hexahedron). Standard die (fair)D7: Cylindrical (Non-Geometric). Odd-sided D7 die with results on the top of a pointed side (less)D8: Polyhedron-Variant (Octahedron). A D8 with the points flattened so it rolls better (nearly)*D10: Symmetric (Elongated Decoid Dodecahedron). A D10 numbered 0 to 9 (mostly)D%: Symmetric (Elongated Decoid Dodecahedron). This is a Catalan solid (nearly)D100: Planner (Zocchihedron). Sphere with 100 faces planed off as equally spaced as possible (less)*Note the D4 and D8 actually have 8 and 14 sides respectively. It would be nearly impossible to roll these dice and land on one of these tiny sides. If so, a reroll would be needed.It should be noted that the D60 and D100 roll ridiculously for too long. The D100 is a must have for the collector, but a pair of percentiles are practical (and more fair). I wish the set would include sided dice that have more useful face odds (skipping the D6, D20 (most people already have), D16 and D60 with a D14 (7%), D17 (6%), and D50 (2%). However, induvial non-standard sided-dice of this quality are available from other sources. Sets are generally cheaper than buying individually though.
