These are great as platform posts custom to your desk. They are really solid clamped. Though the description says 18", I mounted them at 21.5" off the desk (probably the limit) and they still feel solid.

I needed something to boost my monitors above the desk, and these were perfect. They're very sturdy - you could probably kill a horse with these - so they'll hold your speakers without an issue. The coated surface means less noise, and the speakers don't slip. They were very easy to assemble and attach to the desk.

My speakers are more deep than wide, exactly inverted compared to the stands, keep that in mind. They are very good quality and very sturdy also they have a little raised border that keeps your speakers from falling when tilted foward.I'm keeping them because it has some features that other don't like the border and a keyed lock.

These are easy to put together and to use. The construction is really decent so I wasn't disappointed. The only thing that I would criticize is the lip on the shelf part only being on one side or for that matter being on the long side. I would have put it on one of the short sides because of the way I put the studio monitor. It seems like the long way would be if you were going to lay the monitor down on its side. But this is more just to be critical and state something that could be improved. Not a complaint really.

One handle was completely broken off and nowhere to be found while a spare piece that I didn’t need was loose in the box.Bolts were missing and scratches were on every piece that was sent to me.While I ordered a new product, this was not only Not new but unusable.Pending refund.

***further update***I've been able to make the stands work. Remember, the distance from the wall is key. Pay attention to that and everything will be fine.***update ends******update begins***I'm dropping a star because I've SINCE noticed that the tightening screws for the height are completely out-of-line, sitting at a weird random angle. So now, in practice, it doesn't matter where the plate sits, the desk must STILL be at least 3" away from the wall. It appears to be either welded or epoxied in, I can't rotate it without damaging the mount. It really is a shame - they would OTHERWISE be great.***update end***Because the stand connects to the center of the plate, the entire desk underneath must be positioned away from the wall 3-5". This would be fine if your desk sat in the center of the room, but not against the wall (I have front ports and no critical mixing requirements). Otherwise, the hardware is VERY sturdy and seems well-made. This seems like an easy fix, just add another set of mounting holes in the plates.Additionally, one small knock is that the plate is very wide, which would accommodate a speaker on its side, but wastes space for those standing vertically. I suppose it depends on the size of the monitors, but for smaller units (5" drivers or smaller) the plate maybe 1.5x larger than the base of the speaker.Personally, I will just fabricate another plate that fits a little better and offset the mount to the stand at the very rear to make up my clearances. Also, I use L adapters for power and input on the speakers themselves, so they can sit very close.

I have a small desk (110 cm x 60 cm). I used to have my KRK 5" studio monitors on the desk and the space they occupy is alot. I saw Gator's clamped monitor stands on Youtube and thought these would help free up some space on my desk. I found the OUKMIC ones which are designed the same and better priced. I tried these and am happy. Furthermore, I can now raise my studio monitors to my ear level. Previously, they were too low. The OUKMIC clamped monitor stands are sturdy and well-built. Delivery was fast too. Overall, highly recommended if you want to free up space on a tiny desk.
