Do you know how many years I have used Channel Locks to remove spring type clamps? Way too many. I recently had to pull a couple of hoses off that were up against the block and behind the oil filter mount on a Ford Explorer and there was no way I could get any kind of traditional pliers or channel locks in that tight of a spot. I knew they made these hose clamp pliers, but I never thought that I needed them. Until now. These things made it so much easier the get the clamps off, that I will never be without them again.

The right tool almost always makes the job easier. Those pinch clamps are a pain to work with - this tool made is so much easier and no cussing!

good tool to have ! ive always fought spring load hose clamps. these worked great. very reasonable price. should have bought years ago!

I haven't actually used this tool yet but my first impression was that it's a well made quality tool. Seems sturdy enough to do the job and the locking device locks in multiple positions and seems sturdy enough to do what it's supposed to do. Will be a vast improvement over using a pliers or channel locks like I have in the past.

Before using I shimmed up the excessively free rotating holding block so it won't rotate on it's own. I was able to remove and install several clamps in difficult locations. If the locking mechanism ratchet had finer teeth I would have given it 5 stars.
