I've tried synthetic clays before without success. The kind with the black rubbery material just smears black marks on the car so I stopped using it. This perforated clay towel works so much better. A couple of passes and I could feel the paint go from rough to smooth. This works a lot faster than a clay bar. I still like clay bars because they are very effective in removing contamination. But this perforated clay towel might be just as good. When done, I just rinsed it with water and kept it flat to air dry.

Washed the car and used Collinite 520 Quick Detailer as a lubricant for the towel. The car looked beautiful and ready to be waxed.

While I've never tried a traditional clay bar on my vehicle, I recently gave this clay bar towel a shot, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results! It's incredibly user-friendly and a breeze to clean afterward. Compared to using a regular cloth, the cleaning process was significantly easier.

I've never actually used a clay bar before, so I can't comment on whether this is easier to use than that or not. But based on what I've read, I can believe it is. I didn't realize before ordering, however, that I would require a clay bar lube product... and that stuff isn't cheap; but I found a product in the low $20 range that was well rated and it did a good job for me, in combination with the West Horse product, and I'm happy with the results. Hopefully the clay bar towel will last a while - fingers crossed!

When used as directed in the instructions on the box, it removes every different residue and spot I had on my car. I can be free to wax or polish on top of what this leaves knowing there will be nothing to interfere with paint. The cloth itself is pretty thick and is double layered. One side is fine for normal cleaning and then you use the other side for the areas that need aggressive attention. Longevity won't be great on this, but you'd probably want to replace it from time to time anyways as it picks up other contaminants. I did notice that the purple pad side was slowly wearing away with use.I'd say the price is worth it, if you think that your car's shine is worth the price.

I was a skeptic at first until I tried it, I’m use to using a clay bar, But after testing this out, It seems to work just as well

So my days of the clay bar mashing, folding and kneading are done! This thing worked great, cleaned and left behind a good smooth surface, didn’t seem to scratch the paint either. Provided a good stickiness that seemed to pick up just as good as the clay bar only easier to use because your not having to work it. This you can see when it’s dirty and can easily rinse it clean and move on to the next panel. Afterward I applied my usual polish and wax and the truck looked good as new again. Worked great!

If I had to choose between a clay bar or clay bar towel to remove contaminants from my vehicle's pain, it would be this clay bar towel. Not only do I find it easier to work with, but it's easier to use.NOTE: You will need to use a special clay bar lube or other paint-safe lubricant (not dish soap and water) to get the best results and avoid possible damage to your painted surface. If you haven't used a clay bar product before, I would strongly suggest exploring some detailed instructions on how to get the best results. You will need to clean your painted surface first, so a good quality car wash product is recommended. Most people also use clay bar products before a wax and polish, since it preps the surfaceThis particular towel has been working well, and the quality seems exceptional. It's priced a little higher than other clay bar towels and mitts, but I can't comment on the quality of those other brands.
