Several of these tools are very familiar to me and some of them are brand new. I taught high school pottery classes for several years. It’s neat to see some of the new tools they’ve come up with to help you create the desired shape and texture of your pots, like the silicone tip tools, as well as the round ball tools, both in metal and in plastic. The wire loop tools are not very sturdy so you have to use them with soft clay but the rest of them are good quality tools that could be used with fresh clay or leatherhard clay. The bag is a nice touch when they’re clean but if they’re being used they won’t stay clean for long and then I’m not sure I would bother with the bag. I plan to use them both on the pottery wheel as well as with handbuilt pieces.

Nice assortment of tools all in one handy zippered pouch. The tools were a nice quality. They had more weight than I was expecting. The metal is smooth and so are the wood handles. One set of tool sets come in a reusable heavier weight plastic bag. Another set comes in a standard ziplock bag. The rest come in throw-away plastic. It would have been great if each set came in it's own reusable bag, but I guess that is what the zippered pouch is for.Nice assortment of tools in varying sizes.I feel this was a good deal for the quantity and quality received.

I have been making pottery on and off since I was 11yo, and I love love love the feeling of digging your hands into a fresh piece of clay. I prefer handbuilding to the wheel. More recently I joined a clay jewelry making class, and we've been doing a lot of small detail work. I bought a basic clay tool set, but discovered I was missing some needed tools, especially carving brushes and the small ball stylus. When I saw this toolkit my jaw dropped. For the price point ($10) it is an amazing value. I got the pack today and I was not disappointed. The packaging was a bit quirky, with various tools grouped together in a number of very different-looking plastic bags - it looked like someone bought a bunch of different products and shoved them together in one bag, lol. You can also see from the product photos that some of the items have a light bamboo-style wood while others look more like walnut. But honestly it's not a big deal to me, the important thing is the tools look sturdy and high quality. I will definitely use this toolkit for many years to come and I expect it to hold up well. 5/5, highly recommend.

I like how this come with a bag to keep the clay tools in. I really love the silicone wedge brush tools, they are incredibly useful. I also like the tiny metal sphere tipped tools, those are useful for making hollow eye sockets. The oddball in this kit are the large plastic brown sphere looking tools. They come in a plastic package with a different name. It feels like something that was thrown in to boost the amount of tools in the set. I don't think this set needed the boost though. Even if all you got were the silicone brush tools and the tiny metal sphere ones, and the bag, that would have made it worth it already.

I just purchased some air-dry clay to goof around with and I think these tools will be perfect for working with it. I plan to make clay objects to use in silicone mold making, and I think many of these tools will help me get the level of detail I want. There is a great variety of tools in this set from very tiny dotting tools to large (about 1/2”) spheres. Some have sturdy wooden handles, some are plastic, and the blue sphere ones are steel with a rubberized coating. There’s also a wooden set included that’s similar to ones I’ve used in the past for throwing pottery on a wheel. The black plastic set has interesting shapes on either end, and yet another set has nylon tips in various sizes (maybe for burnishing? Not sure) They come with a sponge and a sturdy zippered case. They are a great value at about $10 for a 25-piece set.

I am just getting started with clay and have been watching lots of how to videos. Everyone has all these tools so I thought I should get some. This kit is great, so far it has everything that I have seen being used in the videos. It's sort of a mix of materials. There's plastic, metal, wood and rubber. The metal poles with balls on them are great as are the wooden tools. The rubber tipped carvers work really well too. The black plastic pieces are a bit flimsy so I'm not using those; but with so many of the other tools there is no need to anyway. I know I got this just to start learning but I really think many of the pieces will be with me for a long time.

This is a great starter set for someone getting into clay and really a huge selection of tools for the money. Not every tool is the highest quality but overall they all can be used and, again, you can't beat the selection. These would be a great addition to community studio tools. Too early to tell about durability but they actually seem fine. Good value for hand builders in particular.
