I love the lamp. I just wish more emphasis was put on selecting a quality burner for the lamp. I had to tweak and bend the brass slightly in different places to make it sit correct. Other reviewers are correct the bottom cap screws on counter clockwise, and the inner burner screws on clockwise

It’s a solid glass oil lamp. The glass pedestal is thick glass and overall the lamp is a good size. It also holds 32oz of oil, so it will last for a while. Another plus is that it came with of 7 wicks.

Beautiful, but is kind of expensive, at least to me it is. I have another one almost identical to this one that is an antique I received from my Grandpa after he passed away over 40 years ago, but that one is a gorgeous blue in color. I was so happy to see this one which is almost identical. My antique one is a bit larger. But I’m am very happy to own this clear one. Thank you!

I unboxed it today, extremely well packaged, it came with a small length of wick and also a longer one. It's a fairly heavy lamp, very classic design. I am gonna add another one soon, Functional and beautiful, I bought the Paraffin Lamp Oil - Blue Smokeless, Odorless, Clean Burning Fuel for Indoor and Outdoor Use with E-Z Fill Cap and Pouring Spout - 32oz - by Ner Mitzvah when I bought the lamp, purple just because my wife's favorite color, the lamp actually didn't hold the entire amount but probably less than a quarter ounce was left, Its jus a beautiful and well built lamp.

The metal burner is very cheap, does not screw to the base like it’s suppose to but freely sits on the base and wobbles, especially when the lamp globe is in place. Very disappointing, cheap, dangerous product.

I ordered this as a gift and unpacked it to be sure it wasn't broken. Discovered it was missing the part that screws into the base that feeds the wick. Sent it back and received a replacement. Upon unpacking the replacement lamp I discovered the part missing in the first one was wrapped separately, not very obvious and easy to miss. It probably was in the first box but I never noticed it. So look closely in the box if you order this lamp. This is the most beautiful oil lamp I have ever purchased!

I would like everything about it to be a little more robust, but for the price it is good. I bought rwo, perhaps a third. I am worried about a long term blackout with all the craziness going on in the world. So I have a tong of unread books, and a few oil lamps to kill what may be a 3 week period coming up... This Ice Storm in Michigan the winter of 2013-2014 is what spurred my emergency buying. I didn't get hit hard then, but I lived in an apartment. I did know A LOT of people who went weeks without power though. Not my goal.

I purchased two of these to replace older ones I lost when I moved several years ago. I was somewhat reluctant to spend $50 per lamp, given other lamps on Amazon were running $20-30, but in the end I am glad I did. These are molded from a solid piece of glass, not two pieces joined together with a flimsy brass fitting. The lamps are heavy... nice thick glass... reminds me of the lamps my parents had 40 years ago when we would have power failures. The collar and queen anne-style burner have somewhat of a cheap pressed-metal feel to them, not at all brass like older lamps would have. This would be my only concern in terms of long-term durability. I have not had an opportunity to use them to any great extent, just "test burns" after everything was assembled and filled with lamp oil, so time will tell in regards to that issue. Worst case I can pick up brass replacement. I expect these lamps to outlive me. Overall, I give 5 stars and recommend you purchase, even though these are more expensive than other, similar items.
