I sought this part out for one reason only: To solve the wheel disconnect issue I was having with my CSL-DD wheel on my sim racing setup. The issue is, after some time, the wheel starts to back out of the stock single bolt clamping collar and eventually moves enough to cause the USB-C internal connection to unplug and disconnect the wheel. You can re-seat the wheel re-tighten the hex screw on the stock split collar, but a few days later, the issue repeats. Eventually, you will round out the fastener from repeated tightening and then you have a real problem that involves cutting metal. This part is THE solution. It is the correct inside diameter bore size (30mm). Don't buy an imperial measurement (like 1-1/4") collar that is a bit too small or a bit too large. You're just asking for future trouble. Buy the right size, which is 30mm. This collar is split in 2 places, which means 2 fasteners, which means a much more secure clamp. The outside diameter is MUCH larger than the stock collar and it is significantly heavier, but I have found these attributes to actually be beneficial and provide a greater sense of balance to the wheel shaft.I ran one revolution of black electrical tape on the driveshaft where the collar would go in order to provide some extra friction where the collar would clamp down. Installed the clamp, torquing the screws by hand and without a torque wrench. I think the torque spec the manufacturer suggests is 15nm, but just use your brain, make it tight but not gorilla arm tight and you will be fine.I have been using this for over a month and the wheel hasn't moved even a hundredth of an inch. I know because I checked it with a feeler gauge. Very happy with this purchase.
