After a year of use I can honestly say this thing is a piece of crap! I had the old one (13.5") for 6 yrs. before the hing connection broke but git worked fine up to that point. So I bought this and opted to go a little wider so I could finish 5 minutes faster (lol). Not with this thing! Right from the begining I noticed it didn't glide over the bottom of my inground concrete pool, it sucked to the bottom and floated on the way back. But I ignored that and justified it by telling myself it was brushing the bottom and I had to go slower on the way back. After 2 months of that i had enough, so i thought i would tackle one problem at a time, the floating return. Ok remove spring at pole connection. That kinda worked, not as good as the old one but better. Tie strapped 2 two pound divers weights on it and then it stayed on the bottom. Next sucking to the bottom (3 months later) removing the screws that hold the weights I installed faucet washers and longer screws to hold it off the bottom. This work ok not perfect but it was less of a struggle. Now here we are a year later the pin that holds the pole mount to the base is all bent and ready to break, oh didn't tell you thats a plastic pin too (more crap) no problem I'll just replace it with a ss bolt. The next problem is the pole won't stay on because the plastic pins that hold it are worn away (what happend to cast aluminum). So in short don't buy this piece of s**t. Your just buying more work!

One of the rollers has come apart after 2 uses. The clip is not very sturdy and comes detached when pushing the pole. I had to use a screw/net to hold it on.
