Closed End Blind Rivets
Aluminum Rivets
Blind rivets in this selection are made entirely of aluminum, meaning that both the hat and mandrel are aluminum. Aluminum fasteners are valued for their high weight-to-strength ratio, corrosion resistance, and non magnetic properties.
Benefits of Closed End Rivets
Closed End Pop Rivets are often referred to as sealed blind rivets, or sealing rivets because they create a watertight seal when installed properly, making them a popular item in the boating and automotive industries. Closed end pop rivets also provide a complete mandrel retention which gives the sealed rivet a higher tensile strength and can be important in electronic and electrical applications.
Domed Head
Like a standard pop rivet, closed end rivets leave behind a smooth domed head. During installation, the mandrel snaps off as it is pulled through the body of the rivet on the blind side of the application.
