This is an incorrect part for the 2006 Saturn Ion. I gave it 2 stars because I was able to modify it into a usable part. The plug in the top that the wires run into is backwards, and the threading is very fine and without the adjuster nut (blue in the picture I uploaded. The part shown here by amazon is accurate, but if you want to be able to use it, you will have to take out the internal working parts (all metal parts) and take them out of the housing they come in and reinstall them on your old housing. If your old housing or the blue lock adjuster nut is broken, this product will not help you, and you may need to go to your local auto store or even your local dealer. This seems to be a universal part from ACDelco, but it will NOT work on a 2006 Saturn level 2 Ion as Amazon said it will without modification. Please note that in the pictures below, the part for sale here on Amazon is the one with discontinous threads without the locking adjuster nut and with the darker grey plug molding, as Amazon has accurately portrayed in their stock image of this item.
