This works really well. The spacers are the same size as the bolt head so it performs the same function as the original bolt head in the riser clamp. The one thing I wish it included is 2 nylock jam nuts to be sure the screws cannot back out. Very well made. No instructions included, but its very easy to figure out how it works.

I’ve been using RAM products on motorcycles, bikes, electric scooters, and in my Jeep for many years. This isn’t made by RAM but it is fully compatible with their 1” ball products. This is an extremely unique design that I haven’t seen anywhere, and it’s genius. It fits all three of my motorcycles, and whatever I mount on the ball is above my ignition and below the gauges. It’s a great place to mount your phone, camera, or GPS without taking up valuable real estate on your handlebars.This device is milled out of aluminum and anodized. The hinge is very strong, and a bolt screws into the 1” ball from the bottom. The ball is soft enough to allow the attached arm to grip, but firm enough to not be deformed by the clamping force. The design allows for various mounting options too. The obvious mounting location is in the center of the handlebar clamp, but I discovered that it also easily mounts to the outer edges of my rear rack.Fantastic product and I’m be buying more!

So, I'm giving this 5 stars as there is nothing technically wrong with the product... the 'issue' is that I made an incorrect assumption that this would work on a mountain bike.... it does not. Mountain bike head stock / handlebar bolts are considerably smaller/thinner in diameter and the heads would not work with the mounting points in this device. You 'could' 'make it work' ... but I don't think I would trust it installed that way.Were I to mount this to a motorcycle it would be exactly what I was looking for, however I sold my motorcycle... so installation will have to wait until I buy another... I will update / downgrade my 5 star rating at that time IF necessary... but for now this is well made aluminum mounting point that I personally find more logical than mounting something directly to your handlebars themselves.I HOPE this helps.

- Very well made, perfectly anodized and machined. With a price point of $25 this piece justifies the price.- I held this up to my DRZ 400 and it looks like it will be perfect to mounts my GPS enabled phone that I use for interactive back country maps. It was snowing yesterday say I did not bring the bike around to the shop.- I have no doubt this is a durable product and will last at least till the next crash.

After going thru so many handle bar mounts and they all didn't work that well. Either the clamps can't stand the rigors of the front end of most motorcycle and the mount end up moving. This mount is made from machine aluminum and then anodized black. It comes with all hardware to fit most Japanese and European motorcycle. To my surprise, these mount also fits my 2015 Ducati Hypermotard. Any motorcycle that has the 4 bolt clamps like my 2022 Honda Monkey or most bikes. This mount will work. It comes with spacers and 2x long Allen bolts that will space the mount right above the handlebar clamp.The ball itself is rubberized and once you clamp it down tight, there is no movement at all. Everything is rock solid. Got this mount for my Honda Monkey to mount a Android Auto / Apple Carplay dash and it was able to hold the dashboard way better than the mount the dash came with. The design is ingenious and you can literally adjust the mount to pretty much any width on the clamp.Installation literally took me about 20 minutes and now I can pretty much move or adjust the Android Auto any angle I need it to be. For the price, it's definitely worth it since it makes the install very clean and professional looking.

This was built very well. you can spread open the arms to fit probably any handle bar mount clamps. The ram mount style ball mount is a very hard rubber that provides some dampening, but great in locking down devices without them moving around. Some cheap ball mounts have a soft rubber that deforms when tightening and your items wont stay in you adjust place. This one works Awesome!
