I ordered several, seven (7), skeins of crochet thread/ yarn, for crochet doilies, and snowflake projects, which I have done several times in the past. This time, one was smashed to the point it is unusable as there are several areas of brown discoloration on/ in the yarn. The thread/ yarn is supposed to be white/ pearl in color, with silver metallic thread running through it. The damaged skein has brown patches on it. obviously, this one was run over by something to create this mashed, damaged roll, and it was actually shipped in the same package as all the other six, that were in great shape.

This thread has a great sheen, it's the right thickness, and it's mostly easy to work with. My one complaint is that apparently with the addition of the metallic strand, the thread becomes very very twisted, which leads to tangles. But I think that's a reality of any metallic thread, so don't let that dissuade you from purchasing this one!

Thread was a bit dishevelled on rolls! A little pricy as this yarn has been discontinued over a month ago and have found it for $2.00 a ball locally.

This thread is basic size 10 crochet cotton with a silver thread wrapped around it. I have tried to take pictures and the silver just doesn't show up very well. It is very pretty though. I was going to use it for Christmas tree snowflakes but I decided to go with the metallic pearl instead. One thing of note that would likely be a little annoying on a large project - the silver thread causes the yarn to get twisted as you use it. When working on snowflakes I periodically just hold up the ball of yarn and let the snowflake spin until all the kinks are worked out. This wouldn't work so well if you were making an article of clothing or something like that.
