For over 50 years of excellence in the CB category, the 29 LTD Classic continues to be the radio standard of the current and future Professional Driver. The 29 LTD is continued to be manufactured based on the original design which has been known for performance and durability. Professional driver-requested improvements have been made throughout the years to continue to enhance performance and durability continuing the un-matched Cobra tradition. The CB radio has been around since the 1930s. To see that the Citizens Band is still being produced and sold is testament to its reliability and usefulness. Cobra has brought back their version of the CB with this 29-LTD. They've made some nice improvements to the CB you might have used a decade or two ago. Key improvements to this radio include a front panel microphone connector which makes in-dash installation a cinch. Cobra has also provided a nine foot microphone cord so that you keep in touch from a good distance, whether you're located in a truck cab or dispatch office. The final noteworthy improvement are tactile controls for safer, and more accurate, functionality. Other features include: antenna warning indicator, SWR calibration, instant Channel 9, PA capability, dimmer control, switchable noise blanker and RF gain. In a time of seemingly un-ending technological advances, it's nice to see something we created back in the late 1930s is still alive and kicking.

Noise cancellation on this radio is amazing. Good unit. A bit expensive, but worth the money to have a sound radio

Corporate 29 love this CB radio deck for my car I put it in I matched the antenna with the SWR meter and right off the bat fully charged and ready to rock I talked to 56 miles very happy and very pleased even though it says it puts out for Watts I believe the radio puts out at least 8 to 10 watts because the range is phenomenal provided you match your radio properly with the SWR meter built in

As a retired professional truck driver, I have used Cobra products in the past and am very pleased with their performance and reliability. I purchased this radio to use in my pickup when I take long trips and keep up with the traffic conditions ahead of me. Cobra has always been rated among the best and I am confident it will perform as expected.

I had several CBs in my Jeep trying to find just the right one. I wanted one that had a smaller footprint than this one for the sake of my passengers (it was mounted under the dash on the passenger side). I ended up coming back to this one because I prefer having a different knob for each setting (gain, volume, squelch, mic, etc.). To get the smaller footprint most radio combine functions into one or two knobs. For me, when off-roading at night that was a hassle adjusting as needed. I love this radio. It is easy to adjust and fine tune as needed, so long as you already know how gain, squelch, etc. work. I even put a dot of liquid paper on each knob to know my best settings in case they get turned. My passengers hit it with their legs a good bit, but I am not taking it out for them. Great radio!

Much has been written about this old workhorse of a radio, so I won't repeat what has already been covered a-plenty. I am using this as a base for now and that may make my two issues more of an issue than when it is installed mobile.1) The mic jack is right next to (on the left) the on/off/vol/squ knob and is so close that it is very hard to get a good grip on these most used knobs with your left hand as the mic cord and jack are in the way. Right hand is no problem. Installed in a rig it would almost always be above or to the right so most people would be using their right hand anyway.2) The squelch circuit/function is very mushy. When a signal is very close to the squelch level (above or below) the audio will fade in and out instead off switching off and on. Tuning it is more like a volume control than a squelch. This means when it is just below the sq level you can still hear it faintly instead of it being chopped cleanly off. And when you have a good signal that is getting weaker it slowly fades off instead of switching off. Really a poorly designed circuit but it does work. Again if it were in a rig you probably wouldn't hear this fading as much due to the background noise.Oh and the mic is a bulbous piece of plastic junk with a mushy key switch too. Worth upgrading if you use it a lot.Otherwise this is a solid rig especially for the money.

This CB is outstanding. It may be a tad pricy but with a cheaper CB its hard to understand people. First off I ordered this CB on a Saturday. The estimated shipping date was next Friday to Tuesday. This was a problem as I really wanted the cab by Thursday so I could mount it and have it for a road trip I was about to take. The package came in a day early. This shipped from California and I live on the east coast of Maryland. I used standard 3-5 day shipping. Very pleased. Next the box has minimal damage. And by minimal I mean the corners were messed up but that was expected with a coast to coast shipment. However when I opened the box the radio was covered in bubble wrap and looked factory fresh very pleased with that. Now the actual radio is nice its easy to calibrate the directions are in AMERICAN English only and are short and simple to read. Next the install. I took off my radio cover. And ran my antenna wire through my dampners in my pickup. The Antenna is roof mounted and I ran my radio cord through my radio etc. Next the power cord its a plug for the back of the cab a fuse and the other end is a piece of stripped wire. The whole thing is about 5 food long. If your not experienced with cars or wire splicing I would reccomend getting the cigarette lighter adapter. However if you think you can do it. I just spliced the hot and neutral in with my cigarette lighter and it works fine and my cigarette light will still charge my phone. Lastly you can hardwire to your battery the only reason is because the CB lights up and is easy to tell when its on. Just remember the antenna really determines how far your signal is. I hooked up a small PA system with my CB but beware while this isn't illegal where I live a cop can and will usually give you shit if they hear it. Other than that this is a great looking quality inexpensive ( not cheap inexpensive for the quality) cab.PS when I mounted my radio bracket I used all four self tapping screws on the mount. Your oonly supposed to use two for the radio bracket and the other two are for the mic holder. I didn't know this so I just used two more self tapping screws I had lying around for the mic mount.Hope this helps
