  • The inlet has a standard heavy duty female garden hose fitting, also made in the USA
  • Coldbreak is a USA company with USA customer support.
  • The compression fittings may need adjusting (tightening) when you first get your chiller. We do not water test them. Your vinyl tubing will need to be attached to the barb with the included hose clamps. Test your chiller prior putting it into your wort. Reach out to us if you have any issues.


What is a wort chiller? A wort chiller is a heat exchanger designed to cool your wort to yeast pitch-able temperatures at a rapid rate, forming the cold break. The 15' copper immersion chiller is the perfect size for these batches and easily connects to your kitchen sink with a sink adapter (sold separately).

According to the description, the barbed hose fittings are supposed to prevent leakage. Well, sadly, I learned the hard way that this is not the case. Water was leaking into the wort for who knows how long (although not initially) while I was gathering my fermenter and sanitizing my filter. This was not user error—hoses were clamped down with hose clamps as tight as they would go on the barb fittings and the water pressure was lowish. I do not recommend this product.
