I purchased my first travel trailer in 2017 and needed a grill to go with it. I chose the Sportster because of its small size since rv is a small pod. My pod sits at a seasonal campground where I visit it every weekend and this grill sits outside ready and waiting all season long (April 1 - November 1). It is outside with no cover and stored in a shed during the off season. I have had absolutely no problems with this grill and while the red paint is a bit faded there is no rust and the grill works just as well as the day I bought it. For those who are not seasonal campers, I have one tip for you. Line the drip cup with foil for easy cleanup and do not replace the drip cup when you fold it up and wheel it to your vehicle. The drip cup falls out easily when the grill is folded and could get lost.

Great portable BBQ. It gets hot real fast and holds temperature very well!I use it for camping or tailgating. It folds/unfolds very easily. My only gripe is that you have to be careful wheeling it around when it's folded up; if you put it on too much of an angle the BBQ drops down. A bunjee cord should solve this problem.

Pros: small, portable, easy to put in minivan, easy to clean, enough heat and space for average family.Cons: too low, can’t quickly disconnect from legs.

Assembly and specially locking system was hard, instruction was not clear, grill was fine and efficient, tried once, no gas leak out of the box, easy to operate ,happy with it, contacted Coleman and unlike some models, they ship parts for this grill to Canada

It does everything as advertised. The grill was easy to assemble in less than 15 minutes and using it is really simple since it only has one knob to adjust the power. I like the small form factor when not in use, I can store it in the shed without taking much space.

This grill has been great! Packaged well, and received with no problem. Opened the box to find that the grill portion was already assembled. The legs and wheels needed assembly and then attaching the grill to the legs needed to be done. Assembly took about 30 minutes, but, only because I knew from other reviews that the instructions were hard to follow, (which they are). The reason is that the instructions don't let on about a couple of important assembly points... written by someone who already knew how to put it together. Here's some hints: Notice the picture of the grill here. The ones in the instructions won't help you. Notice that the front face of the grill connects to the legs by wrapping a "brace" around the cross bar of the leg. This "brace" has a hole in it. That hole is for the locking mechanism that you'll find on one of the legs, so you can wheel the grill around without it falling apart. Now you know which side that leg has to go, and you can see the angles. The last key is that the foot of the grill will face the front, and the wheels will wind up in the back. If you get it wrong, then the grill will not sit level after assembly, but it will appear that you've completed the task. The single small one pound propane cylinder is quite nice to use on this grill for camping and RVing. The auto-light system with the sparker is nice and worked without any problem. We've cooked on it several times, and it's size is ample enough for more than four hamburgers, two 6" bratwurst, a summer squash, and about 7 sweet peppers at one time. I could have put more on it, but that's all we were having that night. The heat was fairly even throughout the grill surface, and everything got done on time, as I would have predicted it. This is a great, portable cooking utility and we will use it a lot throughout the year. I would buy this again without question, and it would only take me 15 minutes to assemble it!

Used my BBQ for the first time tonight for dinner. My steak was mouth watering. I am in love with this BBQ. I have a small balcony, so it's the perfect size. Thanks Coleman, for a wonderful product.

This is my first grill and I purchased it at Target. The instructions weren't that great, but it wasn't that hard to figure out, especially when using the picture as a reference. Just make sure that the thing that slides into the slot on the grill is in the right place. We did make the mistake of putting that part together wrong the first time and not being able to move the grill properly. On the plus side, it was much easier to put it together again the second time around. Since it is my first grill, and I had no prior experience with propane grills I was seriously nervous about using it the first time. My main issue with the instructions were in regards to use and cleaning (yes, I am probably an idiot). If anything, most of the stuff in the instructions made me more nervous. After using it a few times I was pretty comfortable with it, though. If you already know how to use these things then this wouldn't be an issue for you.Overall, (after figuring it out and getting used to it) the grill works great. It's easy to use and easy to clean. It looks like a baby compared to the really big grills my neighbors have, but you can't beat being able to take it with you and have a clean grill to use at the park or on a camping trip. It also takes up less space on a balcony or when stored in a garage. When it's folded up it fits on one side of the back of my SUV. I don't know how hot other grills get, but like some other reviewers have said medium is pretty hot. After starting at that I usually end up turning it down to low because it just gets too hot otherwise.

Unlike other reviews, I had no problems whatsoever getting this convenient grill to heat up and easily sear steaks. And yes, the instructions are less than desirable. Like others, I resorted to looking at pictures of the assembled grill to figure out how to put it all together. The propane tanks are easy to attach/detach and it's simple to lay flat to store. Do NOT expect to keep it leaning against the wall to store unless you put something in front of it...it will roll and crash to the floor. I learned this the hard way, terrifying myself in the middle of the night. All in all, I love it. It fits in the back of my Juke and is easy to clean.

I bought one of the original Grille2Go back in 2000. I really liked the unit but had a number of short comings including a lot of cheap plastic, a horribly hard to clean grease trap, an igniter that really never worked, and burners that didn't produce enough BTUs to get a good sear. This addresses all of those issues and more. Lightweight, easy to assemble with a touch of patience, it works perfectly. We grilled salmon filets, eggplant, and put some squash slices in a mini wok on it. They all cooked perfectly, the salmon skin was tremendous. Followed the advice of others and never used the "high" setting, it wasn't needed despite being in a very windy and cool setting. Wheels make it easy to move around. The grease trap will fall out so I just put it in the grille when I close and lock the lid. I bought a stainless steel grille scrubber too, also put in there for storage. Cleaned right up after use, using the stainless steel scrubber while the grille was still warm.We can't wait to use it again. Seriously, give them your money.
