I got these for my color blind husband, who has been curious to try color blind correcting glasses since seeing all the media advertisement of the name brand glasses. His first impression was, “Wow! Everything is awkwardly magenta. This can’t be how you see things?” After wearing them in different environments (indoors, outdoors, different lighting, etc.) over the past week, he notes that he sees some variations in some colors, while other colors that were distinct beforehand now actually look indistinguishable from each other. These glasses seemed to make the most difference outside, as greens had more variation. However, he also feels like his surroundings look overall less attractive than with his normal vision. Interestingly, he was able to pass a color test using the glasses that he cannot pass without them. But as far as practical life usage, these are pretty useless, and do not seem to be providing an accurate perception of the color spectrum.

I am red green colorblind and have been considering getting a pair of the much more expensive Enchroma glasses for years, but never pulled the trigger. Saw these and gave them a shot. It's interesting going outside and looking at various colors with them on - reds pop out amazingly bright - like an intense orange, purples and lavenders look brighter too. Other colors might seem a bit muted, it's hard to describe - just as it's hard to describe being colorblind to someone. For certain things, the red in contrast to green really jumps out at you - I wonder if that is how these colors look to people with normal color vision. Unfortunately, these are not prescription sun glasses, which is really what I need, so they're not really for me much. But a contact lens wearer or someone with perfect vision might have a better experience than me.

I live with a family member who has always complained about his color blindness. He didn’t have great luck with a different brand of color blind glasses in the past, but when I saw these I thought it might be time to give it another shot. To me, these make everything look pink or red. My brother had more interesting results. He didn’t see any new colors, but it probably isn’t possible for him to do so. Green still looked brown, and may have looked an even darker brown to him with these on. Red on the other hand was glowing. Instead of looking how it normally does to him, it was more of a highlighter orange. He pointed at everything red in the room and said it was all bright and glowing. It wasn’t a new color to him, and not how others in the household see red, but it definitely stood out. It’s a cool effect, but not something that makes these worth wearing all the time for him. I do have to wonder if green tinted glasses would have the same effect but for green. The glasses look nice and come with a nice carrying case. They are comfortable to wear. That being said, they aʻe kind of cool, but I probably wouldn’t get them again.

I'm red green colorblind and I tried the colorblind test with and without the glasses. This works for me.

Hubby can’t see most of the numbers in the color blind test questions, and does seem to not see reds, greens, and mauvey type colors the same way I do in daily life. He can tell the difference between red & green no problem though. So, mild color blindness. I got these for him, curious if it would help despite him not having it drastically bad. Well, he says they just make everything pink, which is definitely what they do for me too. If you look at the picture attached, the pink you see on the box is light shining through the glasses. That’s how pink they are. So I can only imagine you’d have to really not be able to see much red at all for these to give you the boost you need.

Color blind glasses, Used for Indoor and Outdoor Color Vision Abnormalities(TD029).Whoa. Amazed. I am now realizing what a drab gray/brown scale world I have been living in.. Kind of an emotional turmoil. Family members are confirming colors I am now seeing. When they look through these, they report they are purple tinted glasses.Wearing these every day, experiencing the world everyone else has been seeing all along..Ordered a pair of these for my brother, who is also red/green blind.
