Product Description

Colorado Boomerangs has been hand crafting real aerodynamic boomerangs since 1987. The weight and durability of the wood is important and you need real airfoils for each wing. Colorado Boomerangs are light enough to be able to generate a lot of spin with the throw and they are also durable to withstand hard landings. They are made from 10 ply airplane grade plywood imported from Finland. Remember, boomerangs are like little airplane wings. They need to "fly" and being both light and strong are important criteria.

Includes our Exclusive Boomerangs Instructions

Illustrated "How to Throw Boomerangs" instructions are included. These boomerang instructions have been refined over many years to become an ideal teaching resource. Boomerangs do require some training and practice so make sure to review the instructions before throwing.

I like this boomerang because it flies differently than my similar looking one, the Arizona, and I like a boomerang that has a different flight path. This one makes a great circle, pretty large too. Or you can make it fly real high and not make a very big circle but make it go distance and really high.Has proven to be very durable, the other day I was throwing in a parking lot just because I was waiting for someone and it hits a parking lot hard, I mean like hard like coming down from 50 60 ft in the air straight down cuz it didn't catch you over to flatten out and it just hits. And minimal damage I picked it up and next throw was perfect.I don't know if I'd call it a beginner boomerang or not. If you've thrown a boomerang before you could probably use this one. I had to tune it a little bit when I first got it cuz it wasn't making a full turn and was landing way to my left. So I just bent it in you know concave the wings up if you will add it positive dihedral and it curves perfectly to me now. But it is a little different to throw because of the flight path it takes. But it's fun.

Ah, yes, the Eagle. The most finicky boomerang in my collection, but the most entertaining to watch. I own several boomerangs, right and left handed, but I'm still a newbie to throwing. The Eagle causes me a lot of frustration and a lot of joy. This boomerang MUST be thrown properly. It flies extremely far, so if you don't throw it properly, you're in for a long hike to go retrieve it, and that's assuming you saw exactly where it landed. However, when you do throw this 'rang properly, it floats up into the air and just stays there. I haven't really gotten this one to come back close to me, but I have thrown it and picked up two of my other thrown boomerangs before it landed. I wish I could get a video of this 'rang, it is truly majestic to watch fly, so it's name befits it well.Don't get this one as a first boomerang, it's too finicky. Start with the Glacier or Aspen, or the Bumblebee. Once you get some solid experience, get this, practice, and enjoy watching it's majestic flights!

I lived in Australia part of my life and took 3 boomerangs back to the U.S. Recently, I began to teach my kids to throw. After one was damaged and seeing these reviews I took a chance with these cheaper ones. I was disappointed opening the box and showing my son what I replaced the old boomerang with. It's a rather elementary paint job, a smear of blue on the end and where the red strips are and a red star different then the picture. I figured no worries I can live without hanging it on the wall so long as it flies. It sadly did terrible returning in wind or no wind conditions at many variations at any angle. I did notice the arms didn't look well trimmed or cut as other boomerangs, then again this holds a different V shape then my others. Perhaps it may be a defected, but it really preformed terrible and I returned it.

I threw it, and it came back the first time. As for catching it, I'll just have to work on that. When it came back, it still had much spin on it, so I just moved out of the way. As for throwing it with the wind, the instructions that come with it are right on the money, but that is just something the thrower must just do and adjust according to the way it flies. Suggest throwing it in large, open areas with nothing for it to hit during any part of flight. And even on a large field, I would not suggest throwing it in the direction of the wind. It flies so well that it may ride that wind into places where it cannot be retrieved.

This is a cool boomerang. It does not look like something you'd find in a toy store but something your grandpa would give you on a camping trip. It comes with a neat little book that teaches you how to throw it the right way. At first I thought it was a little light and maybe it was cheaply made because of that, but once my son started throwing it I found out that it is exactly how it should be to work great. Plus being made in the USA is a nice bonus since so many things come from china nowadays.
